I don't really understand them, everytime I get into a run I say "How does this work" they kick me. So I'm asking you guys and hoping you will answer this question.
Do I need any special skills? Do I follow the person who's running? Also some other basic info would be nice.
EDIT: And oh BTW I'm a ranger
CoF runs?

A 600 runs this with a smiter hero/person.
He aggroes and kills stuff while you sit back, out of aggro range. Just stay near the smiter(mostly the 2nd party member, a mo/n).
When the mob is killed you can get your drops and the 600 monk will continue.
He will kill all the way up to the end boss. When you reach the end boss he will ask for everyone to pay. (2k usually).
Once everyone paid, he kills the boss and you can get the chest + quest reward back in town(1.5k).
Most runners will ask you to bring some heals(go /mo for word of healing, kiss, whatever..) to keep the smiter alive and light of deldrimor for hidden treasures(these can make the run very worthwhile).
EDIT:Thanks for correcting me Taisayacho/smoochie, it's light of deldrimor ofcourse, not deliverance.

- Stay near smiter or ogden. Ogden is a smiter if the runner brings him.
- Bring heals means bring monk heals to heal the smiter/ogden with. Reversal of Damage will cause his health to drop some, so the party members standing around need to heal him.
- Bring LoD means bring the skill "Light of Deldrimore" which allows hidden treasures to be discovered.
- 2k @ Murakai means you pay 2k before the runner pulls any of the mobs in the final room.
- Bringing a rez is a great help. The most prefered is [Unyielding Aura] because if the runner (600) dies, you just stop maintaining it and the runner will be rezzed at your position. The old description of the skill, when you hover over the icon, is incorrect now and needs to be updated.
- CoF has 3 floors. So the run can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour.
- Lol if you get 2 mauls as your chest drops. Two greens is bad enough, but it's really bad if you get 2 Murakai's Mauls.
and I'll repeat this again:
that's about all the info I can think of.

I am assuming that you have HM open already as the CoF runs are in HM.
Stay with the smiter/ogden.
Keep the runner out of your aggro bubble.
Do not run to pick up drops until the runner is a good distance from your drops.
Always listen to the runner.
When in doubt, stay with the people standing around.
These are very good rules which unfortunately many cannot seem to follow.
You will not need any primary skills, so going/Mo and maxing the healing attribute will help the smiter.
After a couple of runs you will soon get the hang of it and become a pro leecher ^.^ ;P
