Legendary Survivor

I've never posted in this part of the forum before, if this should have gone under Questions/Answers, then sorry ahead of time.

How safe is lb/ss farming? I was planning on doing it with a party of 8 henchmen/heroes on my survivor to achieve legendary. How safe would it be if I flagged them on ahead?

And no, I do not have Factions or Gwen, so I cannot do hff or brawling, please do not tell me to do this for the billionth time.

EDIT: Thanks everyone, I'm an E/D most of the time for those curious, I set up a build for Zhed that uses Life Bond and Vital Blessing on me and he uses Master of Magic . Thanks for all your help, I'll give it a try.

It'll be safe if u flag them as you stated. Take a few scrolls to speed up the process.

Flag them every time you get into a mob. Let them fight for you. In a wurm you're surprisingly vulnerable and easy to kill. I think wurms have estimated ~40-50 armor against earth damage, and almost all elemental damage you'll encounter is earth. Degen has little effect on wurms, but they can die quick from damage if foes focus on them. Also, wurms have very useless self-healing abilities. The only potent one requires that everything is dead--including spirits like Quicksand.

As much as you don't want to hear it, getting GWEN is your best bet for LS. But if you trust the hero/henchie team enough, go for it. It can be done, but not as safe as Brawling. Also takes more time.

What Mortal said is true but this way u can farm 2 titles instead of 1. And those grave monoliths should give a alot of exp in the end.

if i were you i would just try it on another ch first i find that you do die alot doing that farm but if u can stay alive it would be a good way to do it.

The only problem is that you'll have to be in range for atleast a short time to get the exp. Altough it should be pretty fast considreing you get alot of kills, whilst under the +50% xp bounties, and scrolls. + Bosses and the like 50 monoliths at the end.

As long as you pay attention and flag your H/H in ahead of you it's a simple matter to stay alive in a wurm even in HM. Just stay back and use siege while the H/H batter it out close up.

Agree with Dr Jones in testing with another char 1st (you're in Wurm form, so profession doesn't matter) - if you're doing the LB/SS run in Sulfurous Wastes, my main concern would be the degen from the Defilers (undead critters, whatever they're called). Even though Wurms have 3000hp, anytime I've died on that run has been mainly due to health degen (necro hexes mainly, I think - been a while since I've done it).

What class are you? I've found that in Nightfall, farming bugs outside the sunspear great hall in hardmode is not only quicker but safer when you have a hero bonder and stoneflesh aura.
But if you are serious about using the wurms, just make sure to never agro the mobs yourself; always send in the heroes and henchmen before going in yourself to get the exp.

my son pretty much used up all the areas where it wasnt desolation to cap all skills...me on my ranger(like 2years ago) just thrashed threw the campaigns

SS/LB is the best bet for LS without Faction & EotN although it will take much longer time and riskier. Good luck
