Augury Rock Ascending/Non-Tyrian character

A quick background:
I have a young Rit I've decided to go for the Survivor title on (not using HFFF or boxing) who is only a couple of quests away from the Nahpui mission. However, as the Augury Rock mission gives 50k xp if you've not already Ascended, figured it'd be worthwhile making the trek to the Desert/missions.

Have searched and found a few older threads to confirm that Canthan or NF can use this mission to ascend, most recent I found was May this year. A couple of posts in that thread confirmed receiving the 50k xp.

Whats got me worried though was this little sentence from wiki:

Found an older thread (~ 2007) where several people had reported not receiving the 50k xp, only the normal xp for mission/bonus.

So was wondering - has anyone completed this mission recently (say in the last month) with a Canthan (or NF) character and had no problem receiving the extra xp (or didn't receive it?)

Thowra, did you check the updates since the thread date to see if this bug was fixed?

If nothing is mentioned, I guess you'll just have to take the chance. I haven't heard anything recently about that problem.

I do Augury Rock all the time w/non-Tyrian born characters for exactly that reason.

I get them to LA, run myself to Sanctum Cay, do the 3 missions to unlock Augury Rock and then defeat the Dopp. I've always received the 50k XP (my longest time to defeat the Dopp was 1 min - with a W/something, iirc.)

And good for you going after LS w/o faction farming or the punch out thingy! I've gotten mine legit that way, too - just by playing through the game and capping elites.

My Paragon recently got the full 50k XP. It took a huge chunk of time off of his Legendary Survivor title!

Wish I had thought of that while getting my survivor on my paragon

Edit: Worked out fine, had a weeked of double xp for capping elite skills. I capped everything that I could get to w/o dying, a few came close tho, but I made it!

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly my plan too (well, along with a friend who also has a survivor hopeful).

Thanks - it certainly puts a different spin on how you approach certain missions/areas (well, definately for me it does - I really don't want to think too long on how many deaths my main character (Necro) has managed to attain ).

um I have one LS and am currently helping my wife get her mes to ls status.

She is starting from proph but has GW:EN. so at lvl 10 (presearing) I will run her to kill Snow Wurms outside of Boarial Station.

There is an Armor trader there that offers MAX armor that looks Really UGLY.
When doing this, you should end up with the LS title and well over 100K doing so. This took me 3 tries (oaks killed me twice in hard mode). Takes 1 week.
