Hi All

I am going to give farming a go today with my elementalist, planning on trying Glints Challenge witht he following build.

[Stoneflesh Aura][Obsidian Flesh][Glyph of Swiftness][Sliver Armor][Stone Striker][Mantra Of Earth][Crystal Wave][Teinai's Crystals]

Will have to Cap Obsidian Flesh first, shouldnt be to hard.

Just a few questions..

Are there a particular order to the casting of skills? What armour and mods will I need and what special weapons (Particulary where to get them). Any general comments on how to do the run would be appreciated.

Cheers

a weapon with +20% enchantments is never wrong

make sure you cast your glyph before you cast obby flesh, and definitely get a +20% enchant mod (some greens with this are easy to grab). Since you are using the earth striker build, consider geomancers insignias with max AL armor.

Are you planning to farm it NM or HM?

As far as generally how it is run, you stand between the two dwarves in front of Baby and just cycle your enchantments for about 3 minutes grabbing all of the aggro. Then saunter over to one group, kill it, saunter to next group, kill as much as you can before getting bored. With inner fire working, there are diminishing returns as kills increase.

Hi All

Forgot I had "Droknars Fire Staff" so this gives me the 20% enchanted, After several goes, I figured out the order of things, unfortuantly about 3/4 the way through the first wave I seem to run out of energy then end up dead, I done a test and realised that I really dont need Stone Striker or Mantra of Earth, so I stopped using them, same thing though run out of energy.

I have decided to remove my points in Inspiration and put them back into Energy management, I will try this later as I have to go out for a few hours (hopefully with energy sitting at 84 and a regen of 4 I should be ok).

P.S what is the selling price of cores??

Stone striker and mantra of earth are your energy management. They should give you way more energy than Energy Storage will.

High energy storage will fail. You need energy management. Keep your skills.

However: don't cast *anything* until about 40 seconds into the battle (i am assuming you are on NM). you need to get hit to get energy, and the dwarves will stave off the wave long enough for you to run out if you start right away.

Cores: i try and unload them fast, and 300 per usually does this. Back in their heyday 400 was easy to sell at, but like all things they've been declining. Someone who has sold these recently may be able to help you out more with a "patient price".

*edit* also, if you don't need mantra like you say, consider going E/Mo with [Balthazar's Spirit]. Zero points still gets you your energy, but you still need to wait into the first wave to cycle your enchants.

Hi All

Thanks for the replys, went back to the origional build and reevaluated my playing skills, got it to work perfectly. Averaging 4 cores per run, gonna take me a while to make any money of these as I want the gloves, lol.

Is this is HM or NM? And are you running the quest by yourself? ARe you using the build posted above?

I've had a lot of trouble with this quest - advise would be appreiciated.

Hi

I am doing this quest in Normal Mode, with the above build, please note this is only for farming cores and this build is only capable of surviving the first wave. The Destroyers of Compasion just tear through this build in the second wave. Not sure if its possible to solo all 6 waves.

You can only farm the first wave.
