Just the one this time, which is I here a lot of people going on about mini-pets, and I don't have a clue what they are or how to get them, anyone give me a hand?

The most typical way is once your character has a birthday (has been in existence for 12,24,36,etc months) you get a present appearing in your invo.

There are also occasionally promotional minis that are obtained by various means.

And the black moa chick mini, which is obtainable by a cross-campaign quest.

People buy and sell them too.

As to what they are, they are little things that follow you around and do nothing other than make annoying sounds and add a bit of lag. But some of them are cute and several are very rare.

You can also dedicate them as a shrine in your Hall of Monuments, which is why when you see people selling them they will specify as "ded" or "unded" usually.

An undedicated minipet will be worth much more then its dedicated counterpart.

Basically a mini model of an NPC within the game that follows you around. It does nothing. You can get them by purchasing them from other players or waiting until your character's birthday (day s/he was created).
