Stop when it hurts...

The hint given by Zinn for finding his secret laboratory...
Could someone tell me exactly how this leads to finding him in the Falls? I'm guessing what Zinn meant was for us to stop thinking when it starts to hurt.

It is in the tyrian zone called the falls. There is a cliff just west of center that is labeled "The Falls" you can click on it. If you have M.O.X you can jump off it into the secret layer.

poasiods, I have no clue how the hint related to anything whatsoever.
poasiods
Yes, I've completed the quest already. When I first tried to find it myself before having it ruined by others, the hint did throw me off, as I was under the impression that the place had something to do with environmental degeneration. It doesn't seem to relate to the cliff in Falls in any way.

The clue refers to the mesmers, I would think. A lot of their skills only cause damage if you do something?
poasiods
I suppose the picture of a fall might lead people to the Falls and the clue might have people find the Mesmer boss using 'Empathy'... That hardly makes more sense than a badly written Grey's Anatomy fanfic, though.
Arduin
From the picture in the manual I guessed the lair had to be somewhere in the Maguuma Jungle... yet I couldn't solve the 'riddle'.
About the same time one alliance member happily spoiled this little riddle by shouting in a-chat 'ZINN IS IN THE FALLS'... which ended my attempt to solve it.
Still like to know if anyone deduced the location of the lair without just looking for it in every cranny of the map.

by the picture we figured the jungle one guy in our group said it looked like an area we vanquished as a guild and the he was right. we went there and explored til we figured it out

Well, before hearing all of this stuff I looked in the Vlox's Falls EotN outpost and looked around there yet ofcourse found nothing.. I think the area in the pic loks similar to that outpost though.

The hint is kind of vague I suppose, but didnt take long for the location to get out.

It's easy if you have played since the original game. The fall is a very recognizable area (due to the waterfall) and many people could recognize it from the picture. It's also been involved in stuff like this before (the mini moa quest).

I may be mistaken but.....
Possibly because it's the farthest you have to travel without a town/outpost nearby? Keep going and going till the going hurts!
You have to travel a short way out of the outpost into the next zone. All the way through that zone, and then all the way winding around the next till the very end of it...

Like others, the pic is very recognizable.
As for the tip, assuming Zinn views us as the dumb meat shields that only know how to hack and slash, its very likely a reference to the wind riders there.

It's a reference to jumping off the cliff, which is what you do to get to the lab. Stop when it hurts? Like, uh, when you hit the ground, maybe?
edit: Ah yes, it could also mean the far more obvious "Stop thinking when it hurts", which would be in character with the general Asuran snobbiness.

I've long thought this specific location was one of the prettiest places in the game. The first time I saw it I thought it was a shame that it was so unbelievably FAR AWAY that most people would never have the pleasure of seeing it. Besides the picture in the manual being a dead giveaway to anyone who has been there, Stop (looking, traveling, killing foes, thinking, fill in the blank) when it hurts because it IS a PAIN to get this FAR OUT, especially if like many people you skipped the jungle in the rush to get to the desert from Sanctum Cay. The deep area of the Falls was so unexplored Anet put Totem Axes there to get some visitors.
Nice little bonus, the whole Golem thing. More content like this will keep us going for awhile!

Since I saw MOX's manual I knew which fall of The Falls it was. It's an spectacular sight that I could easily remember, considering I spent like 4 hours when I was young and noob "clearing" and mapping it with henchies. There's no such place with the orange tone and that waterfall.
I couldn't believe people couldn't find/recognize it and wasn't surprised when someone spoiled the fun. To the date I haven't even read MOX manual beyond first page.

EDIT: LOL figured it out. It's still the dumbest place in the game. 1st time to the falls, should be neat.
