A thing that i found very annoying when playing guildwars is the lack of an option to disable the shortcuts to the chat box: !@#¤%
those things that makes you able to select all, guild, teamchat etc by simply holding down the shift button and pressing 1,2,3,4 and so on.

The problem is that in GvG's I use ventrilo and my speech button is the shift button and has always been due to the good location on the keyboard since i use wasd to move alot.
This have several times as being the spike caller destroyed spikes because holding down the shift button to talk and then pressing the 1 button for the spike skill resulting in the chatbox popping up and my character standing idle.

If there could be an option to turn this off i would be very grateful and i would'nt have to become frustrated over the chatbox ruining guild matches

Pick a new push to talk button. I've gone through over 10 buttons trying to find the perfect one that fits for all my games (4th mouse button), I'm sure you can too. Anet shouldn't have to cater to people who use push to talk and are too lazy to pick a new button.

Well the fact that the shift button is really close to Ctrl and Alt which are used all the time aswell. And the little finger naturally ends up on the shift button if i play using the wasd keys why it is the best one for me.

Can't be that hard to make an option to disable that can it?

Imo those shortcuts are useless. The times I use them are accidental.
