Bonus mission sheilds

This is the lovely shield I want aswell as the Undead Sythe (if that's how you spell it) I've recently come back to Guild wars after being on WoW for 2 years and im absolutly getting right into the game again

However i'm lost, as it's been two years everything has changed what with inscriptions and the new salvage change.

I really want this shield but I need to know if it can be upgraded.

At the moment I have Prophices, Factions and recently the bonus missions (£5 is a steal) I read on GWwiki that in nightfall you could upgrade sheilds but the catch is that you can't upgrade the prophies and Faction shields.

So which catogory does the Char shield that I want fit into?

Is it just a shiny item to show off or can I make it a really powerfull shield?

If it's a no, it's a shame and i'll just have to go "hey check this shield out "

If it's a yes this means Nightfall will be amazing for me, as my gear is fine and all my other weapons par my dagger are perfect (for me) So the game will also consit of me going threw Nightfall looking for upgrades for my sythe and new shield.

All BMP stuff is inscribable and fully moddable.

So yeah, you can make it just as good as any other shield.

well first of all welcome back, yes the BMP items are all inscribable. Also note that some items that drop from FoW/UW can be inscribable as well however some items that drop from their cannot.

All BMP items are:

Gold
Max Damage/Armor/Energy
req 9
Inscribable

As far as playing through NF to get your inscriptions, that's a good way to do it, as is buying them. Shield upgrades/inscriptions are fairly cheap. Do a few farm runs and you should have more than enough to mod out your new BMP gear!

My Warrior uses BMP weapons almost exclusively, as there are few skins that I feel look better with his armor or that fit his personality. The added bonus of the fact that for the $10 USD that I spent to get the BMP and I can get max weapons and offhands that I *like* for free, just for 15 minutes worth of a mission? Complete win.

Yeah, feels good to come back to my warrior with her FoW gear after 2 years of not having good gear on WoW and I'm really starting to apperiate getting the skills and mixing them to make my own builds instead of having a set amount.

Sure it has it problems here and there but Ah...feels good to go back to my roots xD

So far im trying to get http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Falah...Split_Chakrams for a W/A anti caster build, can't say I like it as much as my W/E build in which I use alot of heavy attacks, like knocking them on the ground and using aftershock then hitting them with some move that does more damage if their weakened...which my elite skill does

Really looking forward to W/D by a brief look on the Wiki looks like it's a AoE (kinda) set so i'll be doing heavy damage whilst hitting more than one target at once! <3

Amen. All of my heroes for all of my chars are armed with matching BMP weapons. A very impressive sight. I don't have much use for the Charr and Mursaat skins, but the Undead and Tengu skins are fantastic. That stuff looks like it could HURT somebody.

if you're going to get that scythe, i hope you do, indeed, plan on buying nightfall or else it will be pretty useless to you with just factions and prophs. but yeah you can buy inscriptions and mods for them and use a salvage kit to take them off again if you want.
