Got this through pm from "Zodiac Meteor" as his/her entry. It's a comic strip of his/her mesmer assembled with screenies. Very cute even though it didn't feature our mesmers

- Darkchyld and Morag D, do you mind me asking what applications you used? I have Corel Painter Essentials 3, with the Bamboo Tablet and everything, but personally it is too complicated and proffessional for me ... I would love to know what other applications are out there. Thanks

I'm quite new to the forum, and judging by some of the other entries, quite out of my depth, but I'll give it a shot.

Okay, I've got very, very little time at the moment, so I couldn't do anything impressive...not only that, but I realise that I'm way out of my league on an artistic standpoint, so I'll try to appeal to your senses of humour instead. ^^

Aaaaaand with little more than a week to go I throw my hat into the ring. Well, I would, except I'm a necro, and we don't do the hat thing. So, um, I guess my scrunchies will suffice?
I must admit it was this competition that finally drew me to Guru. I'd been debating joining for the past year or so, and I just couldn't resist the thrill of the challenge. With this kind of fantastic art in the Academy (and with Makani here, omgyay!) I know I made the right choice.
Now, I must get back to finishing my entry sometime this weekend... looks like it's time to try out my tracing paper and transfer it to something a little less messy. I'll have it up by the deadline, I promise! (even if it means working all through Thanksgiving morning)

Umm... for ending "on" 11/30, does that mean submissions must be in before the 30th or that the 30th is the last day to post? Also, what timezone are you in (what time does the 30th start for you is all I really need, are we being picky about midnight or is it "when you get on")? I'm asking because I'm definitely down to the wire on this - BUT I WILL SUBMIT IT! If all else fails I've got a good lineart I can turn in, though I'd prefer to have it colored. I'm just wondering how much time I've got left. *angry at self for procrastinating*

Okay, thanks. Yeah, homework situation is looking up, so I think sometime this afternoon I'll be able to sit down and finally finish this. I don't need extra time, because this is my own fault for procrastinating anyway. I kept saying, "Oh, I'll play GW for a few hours today and work on it tomorrow... oh, I'll play GW today because I've got the rest of the week off and I can do it then" and then wa-BAM, I got stuck with a 4 page essay due Monday. But it's done and looks like I can pull through. Thanks, though. Back to work!
