How are the people in TOA so bad at math?

Most of the time, a conset is 7k. There are usually 8 people on a team. 7/8 is 875 yet everyone gives 850. How did this trend of stupidity catch on? If there isn't a conset for 6.5k, which their usually isn't, the person collecting for cons losing out on money. How is that fair?

Maybe the person collecting for cons is being generous, although it's usually impossible to tell.
But judging from how many people flunked out of the algebra course I took last summer, I can't help but wonder if they really are that bad at math...

500g really shouldn't hurt anyone. If you're going to get anywhere in UW or FoW you're guaranteed to make that. If you're not... well... you really shouldn't be there at all.

2. a conset is not worth 7k anymore, i see them selling for 6.5k and if you can craft them yourself, you might make a little money, but they are under 7k.
3. its just 200g, who really cares, you can just be generous or not know you are being screwed

Every time I've bought a conset, the team have all given me 1k each. No lie. It means that I get the conset paid for, plus a reward for using mine...I spose?

Hahaha. It's most people throughout Guild Wars that are bad at math, just like most people are bad at thinking, having knowledge, IQ and pretty much anything else that uses smarts to some extent.

Waaay back when I used to do ursan doa runs, if we used someone's conset everyone was supposed to give the guy 1k. Why? dunno. I asked a million times, like that means he's getting it completely paid for and not pitching in a share at all, but that's what people did. I didn't really care, I often overpay for stuff if it's a round number cause a couple hundred gold here and there makes no difference. Haven't done it in a while, didn't realize consets were going down. Makes sense tho, since there's no huge call for them now that there's not a million ursan runs going out a day in all the elite areas.
