Option to use PvP Skills in PvE
Aeon221
Says it all. Do we really need to be treated like we're incompetent? I'd prefer to use the PvP version of skills in PvE like I always have. An option to do that would be appreciated. Thanks.
edit: I would like a button, tick mark, whatever that lets me (or anyone else) alternate between PvE and PvP versions of skills while in PvE outposts prior to engaging in PvE.

Don't PvP but cant see any problem with this so signed. If someone wants to use the same skill in PvE that they use in PvP it could be an option where you have the option to stay under PvP effects.
I just have to ask what would the monster skill sets be setup as in this option? Would the bad guys still use PvE skill set or would the option also force them to use PvP skill sets.

Harder game is more fun. Easy grindfest with no challenge is not fun.

Well if you want more challenge becouse you think your current skills are overpowered, why don't you just equip other skills or play with lower attributes?

For Example [Chilling Victory] and [Ancestors Rage] changes would be awesome in PvE and there is no reason they should be PvP only

PvP versions are usually toned down versions of the skills.
If you want to play with a handicap, you just reduce the number of skills or the rank of attributes.
If you just want to try skills, you can use PvP versions in the Isle of the Nameless.

With this you're using a version of skills.

jus in 2 different forms
user-made challenges is nuthin new in rpg games or games in general
if u want to make gw a challenge for urself, u dun need anet to dictate wut the challenge is to be
really the only difference if it was built-in to the game
is u can compare how elite u r to nubs
rather than a personal gratification of challenging urself
now i can see a slight difference wit pve/pvp skills
cuz gw players want imba skills...
and anet sux at balancing...so they jus appease teh qq'rs
but tbh, i dun think pve/pvp split isnt a matter of a skill being op in pve and being useless in pvp
its a matter of a skill being geared towards a pve-type environment and one being geared towards a pvp-type environment
i mean giving a player a choice between 2 game modes:
1 - broken game
2 - less broken game
...doesnt fix anything
its still a broken game

I see it as different game modes.

Also proposing that PvP versions are applied in hard mode and PvE skills are disallowed in hard mode. *hides*

And I want to use my Summon Ruby Djinn* in PvP please. ;-)
*Which may allow my ele to survive** .5 seconds longer in RA.
**Hyper is not a very good RA player.

You whined and you fussed and you cryed and you got what you wanted. Live with it.

It is true that it was whining from PvE farmers who got upset when their farming builds had to be adjusted who got us into this mess with ridiculously overpowered PvE-only skills, but not all PvE players were ever behind this exceedingly bad idea.
For instance, I've always been opposed to it, as I saw the skill balances as a way to keep PvE honest.
I think a hardcore mode without consumables and PvE skills would be good. It's really annoying to have to intentionally gimp yourself just because you don't want to play in easymode with consets and overpowered skills.

If we do not like the PvE versions of skills - lets just get rid of them all-together.

Tough love sounds better then hard love. :S

I swear, the title should be clear enough.
Things I don't care about:
Consets
PvE only Skills
Polar Bears
Things I do care about:
Pie
Pirates
Pie
Things I would like:
An at will switch system as describe in the OP. I was busy being not around when all you poople were arguing over splitting the skills. I'd just like an option to switch things back to the normal way of doing things, so that the rest of you can "enjoy" your new way, and I can go back to how it was before.

The ones who don't get it never will because they only see what they want to.
