We now have a multitude of heroes, well some of us at least.
My idea is that one would get some perks for carring specific heroes & combinations of heroes.
For example
Koss + Meloni would grant bonus damage buff, and funny quarrels between the two
Gwen + Pyre would also grant bonus damage buff, and funny quarrels between the two
Magrid would grant item drop increase (but less goldcoin drop -since she likes coins)
Norgu would grant addrenalin bonus (since he enervates people)
Gwen + Pyre would also grant bonus damage buff, and funny quarrels between the two
the various heroes would thus give an additional reason for beeing present. mostly to reward use of underused heroes.

Also, if there was a bonus of some kind, which I don't think there should be, it would need to be distributed better. If I was doing a quest/mission that needed me to use a Ranger (Pyre), but not a Mesmer (Gwen), then would I have to make my team weaker for the bonus or not get the bonus? So each hero should get a bonus of some sort with ANY other hero pairing. And since there are 3 hero slots available, that would always leave one hero unpaired.
Nice idea, but not nice enough to be used.

hehe, not bad
That was one thing I liked about Mass Effect that having different party members would instigate certain conversations or arguments.
As far as the mechanics of the buffing, it would be hard to implement. Plus it would force people to abandon their precious triple necro teams. Not sure if some people even know how to play GW without sabway or discord.

No need to make PvE easier with randome buffs, there are already plenty of PvE random buffs iin the game.
If you need a reason to use underused Hero's than find a reason, don't ask ANet to come up with a reason for you. Figure what skills and abilities that underused Hero has and how well they synergize with you, the party and your opponents and make a build that works.
Of course there in lies the problem, after months of just "clicking" Ursan Blessing people forgot how to make builds and even after the nerf continue to use UB because they don't know anything else.

Tried to help a guild member through Kodonur's hm recently. He's a ranger and insisted on running his ursan build and bringing his healing breeze/orison of healing monk despite suggestions. The setup speaks for itself.
After the third try where he felt it was necessary to aggro every last kournan on the map "because it's hm" and the drops are so "OMG TOMES" wonderful, I nicely told him I had other things to do.
