Someone asked this a while ago. It is little to nothing that is transfered other then updates. If you -image on another computer then copy the .dat file to the comp you use at school you should be okay.

Whilst playing you will see average of 1-2k per second on average, slightly more when you zone. You might get slightly higher rates if you sit in an outpost.

I think your fine just playing games, just dont go downloading games and movies, you could download some application to monitor the bandwidth you use so you dont need to worry about getting cut off.

Its better to have that 8gb limit than have slow internet because theres a couple of porn addicts living in halls that leech up 90% of the bandwidth.

A full installed GW client with the -image download reaches 3,49GB hard drive space.

I played for a couple months with a 1.5 gb limit per month and I never went over my monthly limit. if you have been to most of the areas already you won't really be consuming all that much of your limi, and even if you haven't with a 8gb limit you are fine. Just don't download movies or lots of pictures and songs. A dvd will be a minimum 700 or more mb each so that's what really hurts you when you have a limit from your ISP. :/

guild wars runs on dial up modems, so the data transfer is nothing really.

He wasn't asking about data transfer speed. Read the post.

I monitor my useage when playing. Typically I use 20 mb/hour. To use up 8 gb a month I would have to play about 12 hours a day, every day.

I did read his post. If Guild Wars runs on dial up modems, how much data can be transferred? The answer is not much.
