Why waste your time?

Only purple worth any real cash is the req8 14^50, and these days they can be picked up for 100k and a few ecto. Hardly worth doing a few hundred runs for.

You might get lucky, but chances are you won't. Save or do another farming run.

agreed MB, back in the day before inscri crysts, yes this was a very viable and worthwhile farm, the moment they introduced inscrics they no longer were worth it, much like many other weapons in the game.

Ehmm so why aren't you farming Rragar's?
The fact you still can sell purples Crystallines for a good sum of gold, indicates the drop rate is fairly low.
You might as well just do Rragar's over and over again...

My new crystaline has brought this one char back to using a sword again. Of course, being a warrior, she started out using a sword but, after feeling that my other warrior had cheapened the accomplishment of getting LS by doing the hfff thing, I was determined to get LS on this one by earning every XP point myself, so I gave her a Chedikir's wand and went pretty much all healing on my bar (yes, a W/Mo running mending lolz). After the few months to get the title, I felt so comfortable with that build, I went ahead and finshed Factions and Proph with it (H&Hing both) and then continued using it to farm with.

I mean, you see casters running around with swords and shields, why not a W with a wand and shield? That's one of the nice things about this game - you can come up with some really intersting ways to play it.

So, I've starting using the sword more and more, slowly at first but now most of the time. Getting back into the swing of things, you might say.

Anywho, good luck with your quest and, if you do happen to get a req 10 or 11 14^50, give me a PM thru the forum here - I'll give you a decent price for it.

These ways work sometimes, but in general PvE they are 20x slower than playing the class as it is meant to be played. Inb4Stancemonketc

A tad slower, possibly, but then I'm usually not in any great hurry. Koss was there to do the heavy lifting and I did meet the req for the wand so I did a fair amount of damage, certainly more than the 1-4 I could manage with a bow.

But the crystaline is a lovely skin and I'm enjoying using it.

There are better ways of making gold than doing this.

If I were you I would concentrate on something with a steady cash flow, instead of trying to get a lucky drop, and in the end you know the crystaline you get will be a r13 19%v50, and you will get 20k max for it

I say continue your farm. Regardless of stats if you DO get a crys drop it's a moment you will always remember. Getting one is all about personal satisfaction I think. Not about the money. As other people have said they're are easier ways to make money.

No offense, but you've been out of the market too long I think . Tramp was selling a Q8 13^50 purple Crystalline, and the c/o was 100k+65e until he decided not to sell it. A Q8 14^50 would sell for 125e+ imo. And nearly any XX^50 purple Crystalline is decent to good cash. A Q13 14^50 could sell for 50k, and a Q9 14^50 for 100k+30. This farm in itself is an unreliable way to get it, but it's easy, fun (it's like killing dwarves with a free conset on steroids) and just gives satisfaction when you finally get a Crystalline as a drop.

lol so taking into account what you both said, how much would a non inscript gold 15>50 crystalline be worth nowadays? i know there arent that many around not customized anymore but just how much per se?

He was talking specifically about the purple Crystalline farm.

Uninscriptable gold was only from Hall's chest more than a year ago and can't be obtained from this farm, so berating him about the price of an uninscriptable gold 15^50 compared to an inscriptable gold is meaningless.

im not berating. im only asking how much one would approximately cost nowadays

Gold Crystallines dropped from places other than the HoH chest a LONGGGGG time ago. I watched one drop [13-19 damage, r9] in the Maguuma area about a month in to live.

theres atleast r12 r11 and r10 15^50 ones non customizeds around..
r12 is ~400-500e
r11 ~700e
r10 ~1100e
