Any tips? I tried running around and killing all the destroyers then making the assault start but all the H/H's died in like 30 seconds before I could even get back there. I pinned them at the choke point on the far side of the ravine.

its not that hard just make fairly balanced teams of 4. henchies on right side you and hero on left works for me

I put sabway on one side, me and 4 henchies on the other. Was a walk in the park.

You don't even have to split your team. Just Hug the right or left side and run pass the start. Go kill all the destroyers that are spawned. Then when you are ready pin your heroes up top near the burned grass area and you run back to the asurans and start the quest. The mobs are much smaller. Shouldn't be too hard once you do that. If you still need help PM in game. My name is on the left.

so i don't want to try to figure out how if you take 2 warrior henchies instead of the usual earth and fire you kick the crap out of them.....

It's just as Dhampir pointed out and its unbelievably easy to accomplish it that way i use the 3 N/ setup with me being W/. In my case i always take 1 running skill w/ me and i can take the quest and run back w/out having a single on of my heroes die, also flagging ur heroes + hench is important make sure u space em out a bit. If this dsn't work then u can always use a Celerity. Hope this helps

An Assasin can solo this mission Hard Mode in 8-10 minutes, hire one if you cant beat it

Don't take Cynn, Destroyers don't even feel fire damage.

The GOLEM is pretty easy for a caster type avatar with 4 pips of energy generation. There is basically no difference in difficulty between NM and HM for a caster with the right build. I am not a Melee expert and can only provide tips from a caster perspective.
You do not need to split your team. Get the whole 8 H/H team to kill one side at a time FAST (definitely can be done and fast, you'll need to fine tune your team build if you cannot do this) and then run to the other side to do the same.
A workable team build includes
a Hero Curse necro - Spiteful Spirit and Weaken Armour & add others melee hate skills
a Hero Blood necro - Spoil Victor and Blood Ritual & add others
a Hero Death necro - MM (any spec would be fine) & add others
2 Monk henchies
1 Earth henchie for protective wards.
I take Devona as my tank as I am a caster.
Put your Deldrimor title on, the higher the better. Use EoTN skills such as Alkar Acid, Pain Inverter and other armour ignoring damage skills. I use Cry of Pain, Clumsiness and Wandering Eyes as other key skills.
Note: If you can do HM GOLEM with your H/H team then you can do the same for Destructive Depth (DD) in HM without a fuss.

I'm a ranger so BHA makes it well easy. I used Sabs Necros too.
