hey everyone

i read the guide on wiki on how to get to gadd encampment, one of the easier route is to go through several dungeons and arrive north of gadd's encampment.

i'm just wondering for those ppl who already did this quest, what is the easiest route to get to gadd's encampment?

for myself im playing as a mes/ele

thx ^_^

I've never personally done it. I have a lot of friends who take the long way to Gadd's by going through HoS. I dont think SoO is really that bad. Just bring a few smiting monks. Thats what i always do.

Leader-Legion of Avalon [LoA] Alliance-Recruiting PM for info!

If you're careful you can avoid the majority of undead in SoO-if I remember correctly, you only have to fight like 5 groups to get to Gadd's-the rest if you're patient you can avoid.

However, the HoS route is WAY easier-but it's much much longer (about 2-3 times longer), but you do get to see some pretty sites along the way.

But if you have a friend that can do it, you can have a sin SF run it.

If you do it right through SoO, there's only 1-2 neccessary aggros.

Or you could get a runner and go get a sandwich while he gets you there.

even cheaper; have Ogden be you're ghost runner. I had him run me through all the areas and the dungeon after wasting 45 mins trying to run there myself.

First of all do not take the quest just outside the dungeon. It will make the trip a lot more harder with knockdowns.

One way of doing it is to bring an Earth ele hero with Ward of Stability and other wards. Before you aggro and pull, flag your team and manually trigger and maintain the Ward of Stability at all times. Without AOE knockdown, you can have normal fights with those groups that you are not skilled up to run pass.

I find the Battledepths/HoS/Bogroots route to Sparkfly Swamp area much easier. I have completed Shards of Orr (finally) with smite monks and signet mesmer, but still think that the longer route is more fun and less prone to failure.

After all, most of us want to get to Gadd's to gain that 3rd necro, not spend hours trying to make it through a dungeon level.

Well, I've only gone that route once and, in memory, it seems like it took hours. I might be confusing it with later attempts to complete the dungeon quest or perhaps its when you add in the trek to the dungeon.

I still prefer the longer but less fraught trip through HoS area and then that lovely trip down through the swamp.
