Last night I kept experiencing the game halting. Then it would unfreeze itself and move on. Sometimes I would get disconnected.
Today I got the game totally freezing up to where I had to force the computer to shut down and reboot.
Is it just me or are others having this too?

Well, it could be overheating, bad drivers, the Multi-Core Processor-freeze bug, and other things. Need more specifics from you.
What is your computer's specs?
When is the last time you dusted it out?
When is the last time you updated drivers?

When is the last time you dusted it out? Never, it is a month and a half old.
When is the last time you updated drivers? Didn't think I had to since the computer is just a month and a half old.

Alright, then try this first.
When you have Guild Wars open, tab out into your Task Manager and go to the processes tab, then find ''Gw.exe''. Now, right click that process, go down to ''Set Affinity'' and uncheck all of the cores except just one, then try to play and see if you still freeze.

Done. I also went to options for video and whatever was set by default to High I changed to Medium.
I'll keep you posted.

Note that you'll need to do what Brianna said every time you run GW. But, if you find that doing that keeps GW from freezing, there a small apps you can get (ForceCore, for example) that will do it for you.
