Small idea to make Jade Quarry work better
Painbringer
We have all waited and pondered why does this take so long? Well I have a suggestion. How about after the timer clicks through its 30 second cycle… you get a prompt. Prompt-The opposing team does not have enough players to compete would you like to let you evil side show and switch sides to help them out. Yes or No. When you click Yes you are put into the opposing teams lineup. If you click no the timer starts again. The prompt will only pop up one time after the timer clicks down for the first time. After that it will be just as it is a reoccurring timer. You will gain faction for the side your character is currently at. Just a suggestion. Yes ? No ? maybe ?
IE (If you join from the Luxon outpost side you will get luxon faction even if you are playing on a Kurzick team)
Edit- Good points Listed below changed faction suggestion

I'm Kurzick. You're suggesting that I play on the Luxon side, and then when I turn in doubled Luxon faction, I'm not going to lose Kurzick faction?
Don't see how it'll work, but /signed

Wait, what?
So, I play Kurzick. If there aren't enough Luxons on the other side (which I'm always skeptical of if someone says that there's not enough players), I get the option to join the other side, gain double faction (Kurzick/Luxon only, right?) on that side, and I'm not penalized for helping out the other side?
If I'm Kurzick, I have no use for Luxon Faction, as spending it will also reduce my Kurzick faction. I'm already not penalized for playing the opposite side. Plus, the double faction for opposing sides could be exploited by people just going to the other side and switching with the prompt.
Doesn't really fix anything.

Remember that when you give points from one side you lose points from the other one.
It would be more logical to add AI creatures to the other side.
They can be programmed to run, kill and pick items from stands, as we have seen in Aurora Glade, so that won't be a problem.

If that were to happen, a faction limit should probably go onto JQ or FA, which I think would have a much more negative population impact than simple inactivity.

I added a IE to help with confusion
I noticed lots of people switching sides just so they could play this weekend. With change they could just opt to play anyside. and still earn the faction they want.

agreed, and as for exploiting the weakness of NPC AI, well decrease the faction cap available in the Challenge mission, so people broaden the horizons and try other challenge missions aswell, cus some of us just plain HATE AB, with the crappy MOBBING, and the constant -Kurzdick or Suxon or Turtle Fu cker or Tree Hugger or Turtle Shit D!ck or Splinter C ock, it gets annoying

The Problem with this idea is that more often than not, there aren't enough people on both side for a battle to commence.

So, I'm supposed to assist the turtles instead of nuking them? No thanks.
*Hyper.nl uses [skill]Searing Flames[/skill] on this suggestion.

We apologize for the inconvenience.
