Skills that don't require much attribute points
gamer502
I am curious of all the skills that heroes use well with low amounts of attribute points/ or non-attribute type skills. I am making this because usually I would have 1 or 2 leftover spots on my heroes skill bar that is open, so usually I would just fill the spot with a useful skill that does not require any attribute points.
Skills that've noticed that does not require much attribute points to be effective on heroes...
Probably the most common one: [Resurrection Signet]
Others would be: [cry of frustration], [power return], [remove hex]
Which other ones would be included in this list?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'll record the other skills mentioned by contributors.
[Resurrection Signet] [cry of frustration] [power return] [remove hex] [death pact signet] [grasping earth] [shield bash] [rend enchantments] [deep freeze] [Rip Enchantment] [Flesh of my Flesh] [glyph of lesser energy] [Wild Blow] [Distracting Blow] [Succor][Purge Signet] [Vengeance] [Resurrection Chant] [Epidemic] [Hexbreaker Aria]
NOTES:
[Rip Enchantment] Remove 1 enchantment from target foe. If an enchantment was removed, that foe suffers from Bleeding for 5...21...25 seconds. (outdated icon)
[Succor][Purge Signet] Use for pure adrenaline heroes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And since there are some skills that are in the grey area of whether they are effective or not, I'll put them under here...
[Web of Disruption] [antidote signet] [dismiss condition] [deadly riposte] [attacker's insight] [Bull's Strike]
NOTES:
[Web of Disruption] "Be careful giving this skill to heroes, as they treat it as a regular hex and will use it on enemies who aren't using any skills" -GWW
[antidote signet] Cleanse yourself of Poison, Disease, and Blindness, and one additional condition. (outdated icon)
[dismiss condition] "Heroes will use this skill more for the healing than the condition removal." -GWW
[deadly riposte] Requires about 5-6 tactics to be effective; sword requirement.
[attacker's insight] Needs about 4 points in Wind Prayer to become effective; heroes may not use this skill effectively.
Self-explanatory.
[death pact signet]
I also slot [grasping earth] if I'm AoE heavy.Pretty cheap snare.
I wouldn't call using your interrupts on absolutely everything someone casts good use of a skill.
Anyway, Death Pact Signet and Flesh of my Flesh seem to work well on heroes aswell as Res Sig, which is already noted.
Depends on the format of course but there are some Hero Battle classics that might as well work in pve, for example:
[shield bash] and [rend enchantments]
And keep in mind that some skills that benefit from attribute points don't need them to trigger 'secondary' effects like:
[deep freeze]
Oh, and resses of course like the rit ones stated above + the usual monk resses.
I'll update if I stumble upon more.
Hope that helps a bit.
[attacker's insight]
I suppose heroes use it correctly, theres not really a way to mess it up.
[Rip Enchantment], same as Rend really
EDIT: also outdated. upon removal causes Bleeding, no HP loss
EDIT2: [[Antidote Signet] can be a drag sometimes. On a physical Hero, at least it has some use as Blind removal; but you'd be surprised how much time they waste spamming AS in Poison/Disease (especially Disease)-rich areas. Casters should be focusing on casting their spells and leave red-barring to the party Monks.
Cleanse yourself of Poison, Disease, and Blindness, and one additional condition. (I think the icon is outdated) I don't personally see the need.
You should have at least one hero taking care of condition removal for the entire team, maybe a secondary if your H/Hing or playing EotN which is pretty much condition/hex spam, not to mention the only really troublesome condition for an ele is daze which is'nt seen much in PvE.
Eles should really be concentrating on nuking and e-gain in which case their secondaries can be hugely beneficial yet if [antidote signet] works for you go for gold.
I tend to find one hero slotting [mend body and soul] or [foul feast] is more than enough condition removal for most areas outside EotN.
obsidian ectoplasm
All the skills in the " No attribute" skill line
uzumaki
[glyph of lesser energy] and [dismiss condition] ~ can't think of anymore atm
IllusiveMind
[Deadly Riposte] as a secondary for Eles, Necro, any backline. 5 or 6 points into tactics is enough to deal 40...50 armor ignore damage.
Your backline carries swords?
GoLE is a really good skill with no investment.
But Dismiss Condition on the other hand...
"Heroes will use this skill more for the healing than the condition removal." -GWW
So I think if any party member is enchanted, the hero will start healing him for like 15 health. I dont think Dismiss Condition is that strong without any attributes?
And for this...
[Deadly Riposte] that sounds interesting. What caster mods can you put on swords? +20% longer enchantment is nice, +30 fortitude or +5 defense is also useful, +5 energy inscription, but for the Sword Hilt part? Would you put like a "Cruel" to increase deep wound of certain spells? In the end, is 6 tactics points and sword usage really worth it?
Wouldn't a any offensive caster hero run up to attack if they were equipped with a sword? If so, then personally I wouldn't find [deadly riposte] to be such a good choice.
Perfected Shadow
[Wild Blow][Distracting Blow][Bull's Strike] on sins and dervs. Not 100% sure on hero usage of bull's.
[Succor][Purge Signet] on pure adren warriors.
[Vengeance][Resurrection Chant][Epidemic] on whatever.
[Hexbreaker Aria] on physicals.
Meh. I'm not saying it isn't a good skill cuz both my Para Heroes are frequently sporting it... but they actually have spells themselves from their secondary
If they are set to avoid combat they will not run towards the enemy. [[Deadly Riposte] works like [[Shield Bash]. They will use it as soon they get hit by melee.
Yes, I understand that for Monks it would work, but the poster who suggested it said Eles and Necros so I assumed that they wouldn't be set to avoid.
DarkSpirit
[Dark Bond] works well even with 0 to blood magic.
