Since they are working on GW2 and thus soon they will stop support for GW1. I thought it would be keen if they would start putting the promotional and pre-release items into the marketplace to buy for a small fee like the 6 items you get in the game of the year edition upgrade (or is it 5? i forget).
I didn't have money at the time to get a nightfall pre-release so i was SOL on getting a soulbreaker and whatnot x.x Plus those other items you hear about other countries getting from their pre-releases and stuff makes me pretty envious.
Even the first GW pre-release weapons would be nice to have... an updated warpick perhaps. That was a neat hammer even if it wasn't that great.
I mean it's been a long time since that stuff has been released. Putting them on sale would give them a bit of extra cash for GW2 development, no? So we win and they win.
and yes I know you got them because of pre-orders but it's been quite a long time now... and frankly I have never seen a SINGLE person walking around with ANY of those old pre-order items.. not a SINGLE ONE. I don't see anyone walking around with a warpick or a chimeric prism or censor's icon or canthan targe.

They should just put them in the ingame store as an option that will give you all the /bonus items.

I would really love it if they would upgrade some to max as well.
I love the look of the Canthan targ, but it requires 3 different attributes to make use of it and its not even a max shield.

People want them, they could make some money from that, and no one loses anything, since they have been exclusive for much more time than the BMP was.
ON top of that, I have Factions and Nightfall preorder bonuses, but NO ONE can have all Prophecies ones, since they depended on the region (each region had one different bonus item).
Everyone should have the right to access all content, since not everyone could, this would fix that.
People can still get Million or 2008 editions. Why not this?

The whole concept of having unique exclusive items requiring spending extra real world money is terrible in all games, and I've been always opposing that.
But as we unfortunately have some of those, at least don't screw the people who paid for their exclusiveness.

Also, I wouldn't mind them putting a "All Past Festival Hat" pack in the online store for $5 or something as well. That way, those who never got a chance to get those hats can, and it will increase revenue for development on GW2 and continuation of GW1.
I, personally, won't buy anything, but there are people who will, so these people can pay for the items, and that will increase revenue for ANet. I am thinking completely on a income/outcome idea here, and not on "exclusiveness of the items" like others are, of course.
I wouldn't mind them adding other things, like 20 new "exclusive" cape designs, in order to improve their income. But, like I said, I won't be buying any of it myself.
Of course, mind you, I would not support this at all if GW was a monthly fee game like those that do this kind of thing.

Making terrible ideas is easy and anyone can do it. I can add a bunch here, following this thread's original idea and just as bad:
*add Divine Aura to the online store! Show a big middle finger to old fans that bought the CE!
*Sell a complete collection of event hats, including future ones, so you never need to participate in any event ever!
*Sell customized versions of rare promotional minipets in store! Who cares about people who won them in consests, making money > everything else!!

while anyone could make even worse ideas with no trouble, the point is not to make them at all... enough of that crap.
