Vanquishing Luxon Areas
NecroticChanter
Hi, I'm play para and own the 3 campaigns and EoTN. I'm currently having some trouble vanquishing the areas with Outcasts. They have a lot of strong melee fighters backed up by rits with WoW i think. How did you guys vanquish them? Btw, I do spam SY! and have tried 3 ele nukers, paraway, sabway....which shocked me actually...even with weakness they cut down my healers in a few seconds...
Mortal Amongst Mere Gods
Minion bomber, my friend. It makes cake out of melee foes. Atts: Spawning 12+1+3, Death 12, Resto 3+1.
[Skill]Boon of Creation[/Skill][Skill]Explosive Growth[/Skill][Skill]Animate Bone Minions[/Skill][Skill]Animate Flesh Golem[/Skill][Skill]Death Nova[/Skill][Skill]Blood of the Master[/Skill][Skill]Signet of Creation[/Skill][Skill]Flesh of My Flesh[/Skill]
I usually replace [Skill]Animate Flesh Golem[/Skill] with [Skill]Jagged Bones[/Skill] and [Skill]Signet of Creation[/Skill] with [Skill]Taste of Death[/Skill].
That for me pretty well handles any melee foes. As long as I have 5+ minions walking into a mob that's not too AoE-heavy (so as not to collapse the minions in 2 seconds) the minions will absorb melee aggro and my rit will stand back and heal/Nova them. Jagged Bones I find is more useful in HM for the aggro, cause even just at 12 Death the Golem will be bigger and stronger than a level 20 player, so a player would be attacked before the golem; not what you want in HM. :P

i got my canthan vanquisher earlier this week. what i can say is that u gotta modifify the sabway, i have to say semi sabway since you gotta take one interrupt ranger to interrupt the casters.
i took 1 sab's minion master hero , 1 curse necro with splinter weapon and open spirit rift hero, 1 BHA interrupt ranger hero, 2 hench monk and 2 melee hench. oh.. i play monk myself... and i took pain inverter with me...
everytime you see potential wiping out caster bosses, lock the BHA ranger on it before pulling with long bow....
remember not to agro more than one group... you'll be overwhelmed...

So you have 82% damage reduction AND weakness and still nothing?
I mean, they don't even have para shutdown skills... Tbh I never had problems with them, I find them rather a minor delay than a real threat. I always focus on the Deathands because they can remove enchantments (and I as a ranger, interrupt them). Bring enough hex removal to take off from you [binding chains].
The only thing I can think off is that you fail at positioning yourself for SY! to work properly. The Irukjandis also have [soothing] which may limit your adrenaline if in range of one...
Rigor Mortis/Defile Defenses for the blocking (and it also comes handy with the Naga rangers), preferably disabled and micro-able for the desired targets.
Btw 3 ele nukers is fail in HM.

An E/N hero works very well in HM to inhibit the melee and provide some fairly decent damage.
I use:
[eruption][churning earth][unsteady ground][enfeebling blood][weaken armor][glyph of lesser energy][ward against melee][earth attunement]
Earth Magic: 12+2+1 (or +1+1)
Curses: 8
Energy Storage: 10+1
The earth skills and enfeebling blood ruin the day of any melee/physicals and usually cause quite a few problems for casters aswell.
Weaken armor is a very useful skill in HM since everything will be affected by it letting you do more damage (note that it applies AoE cracked armor with a 1 sec cast time despite the description here).
A minion bomber also works very well at handling melee since most AI enemy melee goes straight for the minions giving the rest of you time to shut them down and kill them.

Lock heroes, Glyph of Sacrifice + Meteor Shower + Rodgort's Invocation, times three. Nothing in Cantha is capable of healing that kind of damage.
I've vanquished both Cantha and Elona twice (monk and ele) with various builds and team setups and although nukers aren't kings of HM, I wouldn't call them fail. They can still offer a decent amount of AoE damage and spiking power. Also, the occasional knockdown helps. Never have I used a BHA ranger in any of my vanquishes and they all went rather smoothly.
As far as the Outcasts are concerned - they're just an annoyance with their enchantment removals. Nothing more.

I sorta agree that ele heros do suck in HM cuz they get chopped down in 2 seconds but this combo I haven't considered b4....off to try it
Thanks all! mastar of warrior

But then there is 90 seconds before you can re-use the combo unless you are using 3 AP ele heros. joshuarodger
[[aegis] chaining will negate half of all damage done by melee foes. put it on 2 heroes or one hero and take the henchman that has it.

imo the luxon areas were the easiest ones all are pretty easy if u got heroes setup good with ur hench

True, but there aren't many mobs that require this kind of pounding.

Good news every1...the minion bomber worked. I also switch focused anger to D Anthem and since I used 3 casters(1 Rt/N, 2 necros) and aegis all outcasts died by the time they wore off. Thanks for all your help.
