Hello I created a Ritualist just yesterday. I don't know anything about this character except for a few details I read in this forum. I have reached him lvl 5, he seems quite good and I would like to know how can I distribute the attribute points so that he will be offensive and restore his health. Also I would like to know a good second profession. In general, any information you can give me on building him well is more than welcome!
Thank you!

I'd suggest looking through this rit forum again because this question has been asked several times with plenty of good suggestions

What is your preferred style of play

Rits make very good healers, or they can be set up to mainly deal lightning attacks which they can spam quite well.

You can run them as Rit,Ranger and use the weapon skills like splinter weapon to boost bow attacks.
Another favourite is to use them to raise undead minions with a rit/necro build.

They really are a very versatile class.

Happy to help with more specific build ideas but a lot of them would depend on you being able to get to the skills and if your just starting skill choices would be limited.

Edited
Try out ALL the secondary classes before deciding this will let you try out skills and also give you a load of experience points you would otherwise miss out on.

Well, I can start off as rt/ranger and see how it goes...but overall it's a very good character.

[[Vengeful Weapon] is a very powerful skill in newbie lands, as it does sizeable heals and damage. This will diminish at higher levels but it's a great start skill you get for free. Therefore I suggest you just go Restoration to begin with.

I would suggest you start with spirits as soon as possible. [[Bloodsong] and [[Pain] are good spirits as they're cheap with a moderate recharge time. Experiment with range, try put them just outside battles as they have approx. 1.5 aggro radius, take advantage of that. After that I suggest [[Destruction] and [[Life], to get used to the timings of when they go off ;-)

I will do as suggested and let you know how it goes. This character is more complicated than others.

Read that guide. Then if you still have questions, come back and ask.

By the way, you will enjoy playing a rit.
