This build has got me up to the mission to kill Varesh, but i'm finding myself having a lot of trouble with this mission. So i decided to come here for advice. This is my current Skill Bar
Scythe Mastery 14, Earth Prayers 9, Mysticism 10, Delver r2, Sunspear r8
[build=OgakkIp8KyqE01A2pYPo814l4lMI]
I use headbutt as an emergency interrupt, not a primary damage dealer, and sometimes swap out Heart of Holy Flame for Imbue Health for a bit of last minute healing for allies. Avatar of M + Vital Boon gives me a hell of a lot of health to soak up damage, plus an immunity to conditions. Eternal Aura ensures that the Avatar is availible at all times, and Aura of Holy might, Chilling Victory and Victos Sweep are my main attacks. i thought that perhaps a self-heal like Mystic Regen would work nicely, but are there any major flaws in this build, or generally better skills i could use?
I can maintain the energy well for this build as I use a max damage r12 Zealous scythe of Enchanting (20%), with a +5 energy "I Have the Power" scythe , it is a rare occasion for me to be completely out of energy.
All my armour is at 70, which is the maximum amount for a Dervish i believe? The runes i have on her are:
- Minor Earth Prayers x1
- Minor Scythe Mastery x1
- Survivor x1
- Brawlers x1
- Minor Vigor x1
- Vitae x1
Now i have heard a lot of enthusiasm for "Windwalker" runes while lurking in here the last few days, so i suppose i be investing them into my armour instead?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Heart of Holy Flame is a wasted skill slot. Especially when you have AOHM already on your bar. Vital Boon is meh. No Wearying Strike on an AoM bar is bad, +5E is pretty redundant on a weapon with the highest base damage in the game, 20% enchantments is also pretty bad on a scythe when you can just weaponswap to a staff and get 20% enchantments, aswell as a chance of halving cast time (or quadroupling) and halving recharge time.

really, you should use headbutt whenever your opponent stands up if it's recharged. it pretty much takes that particualar opponent out of the game if you can keep it on the ground. and as tyla said, don't take HoHF.
eximiis
Go 5 survivors. Health ftw specially with Mysticism.
1 major scythe.
1 minor mysticism
1 wind prayers.
2 attunements.
[avatar of melandru] cost way to much energy specially with 3 10e spells.
Imo, Avatar are very bad but that's me.
And why to you need emergency KD ??
The bar i suggest...
[Wounding strike] ftw [mystic sweep] [eremite's attack]or[brawling headbutt] ["save yourselves"] also ftw [Heart of fury] attack faster = more damage ["i am unstoppable] armor + anti-KD [attacker's insight] E-management [faithful intervention] WS little helper
["save yourselves"] keeps your party alive without the needs of healing for them.
More energy for your monks so they can spam to keep you alive. If they keep you alive, you keep them protected via ["save yourselves"]
Yes you have no energy prob. but your not dealing enough damage.
Self healing are bad on a dervish bar. You want a little armor boost and you want to deal huge damage. Normally [Wounding strike] [mystic sweep] [eremite's attack] combo pretty much kills things fast or bring them down to not much health.
Put +15% (while enchanted) on your scythe. Zealous is ok and but Fortitude. No need to extend enchantments.
If you have heroes.
Dervish/Necromancer
[arcane zeal] [dark fury] [order of pain] [mystic healing] [mystic twister] [vow of piety] [watchful intervention] [faithful intervention]
This bar will fuel ["save yourselves"], add damage and give you infinite energy to spam attack skills !!
P.S. If you kill fast, your enemy can't kill you.

In terms of having problems killing Varesh, your build isn't your problem; while it isn't optimal, it's definitely "good enough" for that mission. More likely it's a problem of tactics.
In terms of build, Lyssa probably gets you more mileage overall than Melandru for a PvE elite, whereas Wounding Strike is both strong and easy to play. You want an IAS of some kind; most people like Heart of Fury, but you can also go /W for one of their stances, or run Whirling Charge under Dwarven Stability. Chilling Victory is a good skill, but hard to run on a Melandru bar, and ultimately inferior to cheaper, fast-recharge skills unless you're facing large crowds (which is not the case in the Varesh mission). Finally, Vital Boon is a wasted slot; a hero monk with hotkeyed prots is much better damage mitigation than anything you could bring yourself, especially against bosses.

You've got a lot of high energy skills there and that doesn't combine very well with Avatar of Melandru which already costs a lot. Whenever you create a build to use on any melee character try and follow this if you can...I find it always helps me create a decent character.
1. Elite Skill
2. Attack Skill
3. Attack Skill
4. Attack SKill
5. Utility Skill
6. Self Heal
7. IAS.
8. Resurrect skill
So looking at your build it should be something like this
1. Avatar of Melandru
2. Wearying Strike - A must if you're using Melandru...
3. Attack Skill of choice preferably low energy, mystic sweep, eremites attack...etc
4. Another Attack skill
5. Eternal Aura keep your avatar up and recharge heart of fury as well.
6. If you've got a good monk around you won't need a self heal so you can use this for another utility skill. I noticed you have Vital Boon...you could try great dwarf armor here it gives life and a nice bonus to armor make you even harder to bring down can also cast it on allies which is nice and what's even better is that you don't have to invest any attribute points into earth magic.
7. Heart of Fury / Flail - Always bring an IAS skill it will increase your dps by quite a bit.
8. Res sig or Hard res
Good Utility Skills (Save Yourselves, Pain Inverter, Asura Scan, I am the Strongest, Wild Blow...etc)
Here's some other builds you might wanna try.

As for runes. I would keep it simple and get a +1 scythe mastery rune and put it into a +1 scythe mastery hood. +1 mysticism rune on some other piece of armor and then go full survivors...alternative is windwalkers tho I find Survivors a little more forgiving when/if you change your build.
