How long will they drop?

No Regina, NO NEGOTIATIONS with pirates. Threaten to cut off their daily ration of rum and see how fast they return Piken.

By the way, grog bottles should keep dropping from Crimson Skulls and Corsairs (yet with way lesser drops) after the events.

Grog will drop till end of day Sunday (11:5 PM PST, 21 September)

Pirates go away at the end of the day tomorrow (11:59 PM, 19 September).

Wow I had a few times that 8 grogs dropped at the raptors, that is about 1 in 4!

You should farm solo, I think they drop more (haven't tested, but I've only done solo, and I get an average of 4 to 5, definitely much higher than 80 in 2 hours).

i think anet added these as a cruel joke to trigger a false positive in my mind for "Glob of Ectoplasm". every time a Bottle of Grog" dropped i noticed the "of" in the middle and the capital "G". i was ecstatic because i thought i had finally become rich and had an ecto, but it was just booze. this happened about 14 times in one run.
the effect is not unlike playing with Obsidian Paradox in FoW (imagine what i think every time he gets any drop at all!) or the invention of the colors [Blue] and [Brown] to trigger false positives for the color Vial of Dye [Black}
