Shield grip

Okay so I have a:
Zodiac Shield
Armor 16, r 13 tactics, recieved phys damage -2
and I purchased a shield grip of fortitude +30.

Is there a reason why I cant add the grip to my shield? and if there is can I fix it?

Probably because the shield is un-upgradable. Only shields from nightfall and eotn can be upgraded because only in nightfall the mods for shields were introduced. Most shields from tyria and canta are therefor quite useless, the only exceptions are some shield from UW and FoW.

That's a bummer. I love my zodiac shield too =(

what i reckon you could do is to find the same shield in a dif campaign if possible or one that is similar or something like that.

you can mod a zodiac shield if its from urgoz/deep end chest, so you will have to buy 1 or do urgoz/deep until you get 1

ya your gonna have to buy a shield from urgoz/deep or get a perfect modded uninscrib one but those cost more.

You can only upgrade a shield if it has an inscription slot.... easiest way to tell...

well it is from the deep, but it isn't from the end chest. Do you guys know any fairly cheap (10k-30k) shields that have a cool skin? That can have a grip attached of course.

Honestly, that isn't a question anyone can answer. "Cool skin" is personal taste, which differs from person to person. For instance, you like the Zodiac shield, but I think they look stupid. I'd suggest browsing Wiki for a skin from Nightfall or Eye of th North (both places would be inscribable and accept a grip), or consider shelling out moer money for a drop from the reward chests from UW/FoW or the Zaishen Chest.

what I think I meant to say more was is there any other shields that have an animation to it?

Magma shield does, can't think of any more off the top of my head.

umm other cool one would be celestial shield, it has some cool, slow rotating animation, and of course magmas shield and tormented shield. But the last 2 is expensive (you can get req 12/13 for magmas for 30k though, easy).

zodiac you can get the req 11/12 that has an inscription slot for 20k~30k.
