Hi,
I just started playing GW recently (Prophecies); I am still in pre-searing.
My question is about trading.
Is there a good FAQ or guide to trading?
I recently got a black dye for instance, and I believe it is valuable; but don't know how much it's worth.

I notice there is a good market for grog...why?

How about things like Divine Symbols, and other power artifacts?

Any help appreciated.

Welcome to Guild Wars! Yes, Black Dyes are valuable, they're worth over 7,000 gold. The market in Pre-searing is different from the rest of the game, a good resource for info regarding pre-searing is www.presearing.com

Grog is alcohol and when you drink one, you get 3 points towards the drunkard title. Most people pay 100 - 150g per point, that's why they're valuable.

For pricing items in pre-searing, your best bet may be to ask for a price check in-game. There are plenty of people who will be glad to help out with those kinds of questions.

A good resource for info on all things guild wars is http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page. If you're in-game and have a question about the game, pressing F10 will bring up links to the official wiki.

I can't really help you much on most of your questsions, but.. The good market for grog is because this weekend ( i believe it is just this weekend) grog drops from any enemy. So many people are getting alot of it.

But Black dye is around 8k, and Grog should be 300g per bottle.

keep in mind black dye is only 8.5k in post searing, in pre searing prices are abit different, the prices on grog must be high in pre mainly because there are no lvl 3 alcohol in pre.

Thanks for the links and heads-up.
I see you have a R/Mez; how do you find that combination?
I am just about to decide my 2nd profession for my ranger, and I am wondering between mez and elementalist.
What do you think?
