If you're looking for a new guild, we'd love to hear more about you! First, though, let me tell you about our guild, Archons Ascendant (Arch). (http://archonsascendant.com/ --Please feel free to check out our website and forums.)

First off, about us as people... we're generally a pretty mature guild. Most of our members are in college or just out of college. We do have three or four prominent players who are still in high school, but even one of those high schooler's fathers plays with us. I'd say our "age requirement" is a lot more "negotiable" than it may seem on our website certainly, but we are looking for the 18+ crowd. We're dominantly PvE players, but we do have our PvP players. We're a Luxon Alliance and even though Arch doesn't PvP *that* much (I'd say only around 20% of the time) we do enjoy ABing. We're very helpful, and several of us will drop anything to help a guildie, we have many members who are very experienced in many different aspects of Guild Wars, advice is always at a surplus. Going unanswered is something that's VERY rare in our guild. I won't say never, because there are special circumstances (missions, etc). We're a talkative bunch, and we have a very close-knit core.

We are members of the Mirror of Reason [SNOW] alliance, and through this alliance we always have stuff of one kind or another happening.

Rules? Well, we're not that strict. We are the epitome of "casual" and we know it. Don't do things to get banned. Really, the basis of our rules is not to make trouble for Arch. There is a rules page on the website, but I also think that's a bit more strict sounding than it is in practice. The main thing we'll really crack down on is the "giving Arch a bad name" rule. And that includes all matters of sins, really. Spamming for help or gold in guild, treating alliance or guild chat as a trade channel... those kinds of things. (We do have a Bazaar" section on our forums, though, so we can trade with each other without the bother of game spam.) Also, in Alliance chat, we must abide by the alliance rules, meaning keep it mostly mature and no WTS or PC's.

Arch has been around for over a year. We're lifers now. We've got few key officers who are former and current (I believe) Alpha testers. Our leader, Sciros Darkblade, has been acknowledged several times by ArenaNet. For a guild emblem design, (which we, of course, use) and he is the man who named the monk boss, Wroth Yakslapper. We have another member who has, I believe, twice won the contest for weapon design. Some of our names are well known by ArenaNet. The founding and core members of Arch, have been playing since launch and we own all the chapters. We've tested, we've had collectors named after us, and more. We were for some time, members and officers of the first guild in Guild Wars, Zealots of Shiverpeak and once Sciros had the time to dedicate to leading his own guild, we amicably left the ZoS guild and joined their alliance as Arch. We left the alliance after we noticed ZoS turning more PvP based and we weren't playing with them as much as we wanted.
