One hit kill?

The skill I'm referring to is Ebon Vanguard Sniper Support.

I'm rate 5 on Vanguard title and I've managed to kill with one hit several Moss Scarabs and a destroyer of thoughts on HM, and a Torment claw on NM.

I'm curious to know what a rate 10 is capable of killing with one hit, excluding charrs.

Deals 54...83 piercing damage and inflicts Bleeding condition (5...21 seconds). 10% chance of +540...828 piercing damage. 25% chance of +540...828 piercing damage if target foe is a Charr.

10%

EDIT: Excuse my sarcasm, I'd misread your thread I thought you meant at what RATE they could one hit kill. As to what a RANK10 is capable of killing in one hit, I'd say most non-boss enemies in NM.

second EDIT: Looks like Covah made the same mistake.

Concise: Deals 54...83 piercing damage and inflicts Bleeding condition (5...21 seconds). 10% chance of +540...828 piercing damage. 25% chance of +540...828 piercing damage if target foe is a Charr.

The Percent chance of it 1 hit killing doesn't change per rank. Its a 10% chance to normal foes and 25% chance vs Charr. R1 or R10.

Since it doesn't ignore armor, I expect high level warriors would probably live through a hit. Ranger level armor would probably have a good chance depending on the exact creature. Outside hard mode though just about every caster should die. If you include the additional bleeding damage though I believe just about any non boss monster should die.

^ What they said. But I don't think anybody's actually answered your question yet either - the rate of actually killing in one shot.

My guildies and I like to dick around with that skill while we vanquish for the lulz (btw it's not a very good skill) - from my experience most squishies in HM will die in one shot from the +828, while rangers, sins, dervishes, warriors, and paragons will pretty much guaranteed survive - in fact warriors usually laugh in your face and only take ~250 damage. 70 armor characters (rangers, sins, dervs) usually are almost dead to the point that a Cry of Pain or something takes them out. Caster bosses usually lose about half their HP, while other types of bosses will probably only lose 1/3-1/4. The keyword in there is piercing - a lot of enemies have good armor against it.

I guess I should've worded the questions more carefully.

As Distilledwill said, I was referring to the damage not the rate. Already got that information from wiki.

Thanks for the reply. Guess I'll be aiming as casters with this "physical" spell, lol.

But according to wiki, Torment claws are warriors. Eventhough it was NM, isn't it supposed to have max armor since it's lvl 20+?

Torment claws would be affected if you had your lightbringer title on. That much of a damage boost with a one shot from Sniper is alot of damage.

Out of curiosity, did the skill get a bit of a nerf? The wiki still says 54-90 and +540-900.

Not that I am aware of.

You're right Crimson, I was going off of their numbers above. It's still what you said - 828 is rank 8, I believe.

Thanks for reminding me Richardt. I've forgotten to take that title into account for the damage.

It is affected by armor, and remains a constant 10% chance.

At rank 10 it is 900 damage, before any armor modifiers.

When I did the N.O.X. quest, his armor dropped the damage to 350.
