dashed over to pre made a new char
farmed and traded grog for char stacks..
all round not a bad weekend

I got 3 Bottles of Grog after Vanquishing 2 zones in the desert. Fun to get them but I didn't see a very high drop rate for them personally.

^ Same for me.. except only 2. Decided to take firewater with me for the next vanquish. Running around Turai's Procession drunk as a skunk makes it a lot more interesting. Until you realise you havent deactivated the "Battle of Turai's Procession" quest and quickly get swarmed by Margo's.. I was trippin' man, trippin'.

I think they programed it different. Could be wrong. But it seemed to Increase in drops when I killed different types of foes. (Killed scale then went to bandits. for an example)

Anyone else notice a larger rate of white dye drops? I had received maybe 11 or 12 in the past year, then 7 this weekend.
Odd coincidence, my next highest dye drop count was 4 (reds, purples, yellow, brown)

I notice alright, raptors gave me 16 white dyes, 12 on Sunday, yesterday I played the least because I was watching Football.................my Jaw was on the flaw Sunday, I had 5 drop in a row, it was crazy, for a sec I thought the system was broken.

found a way to make the chest pop up near/in the raptor cave

and a new super degre way...sold 2 stack grog... 100+unide
....and made a last stack before beedtime

note..still need to find the "req 7" spot..

It was indeed quite a nice weekend for the Grogs, more weekends like these and the MOX update will continue to promote good will with the community which has felt a bit burned out lately.

consider this: other holiday events have multiple types of drops, ale and clovers, eggs and bunnies, maybe it's not so much that grog was a high drop rate as much is it is that it was the only holiday item dropping, so it occupied the entire possible drop rate set forth for holiday items.

well personally i found this weekend pretty beneficial for my wallet, for real, all weekend i power traded grog, not much, started buying at 300 selling at 350 for a secured sell, and my guild leader who trades a lot of alcohol told me to buy all alcohol i could at 300-400 gold each,and hold on to it for 2 weeks, and after that, sell grog for 150g/point

grogs are 5 points

i started with 150k, and im gonna end with nearly 500k

I agree, a very fun unexpected weekend with a whimsical theme. It should also have made all the whiners who were complaining about last weekend's fort aspenwood and jade quarry event not being a 'pve' event just shush!

Wow...I dont understand how OP traded THAT many charr stacks WTF??? How did you get taht many grogs...unless u played 72 hours nonstop and power traded.
I raptor farmed three times, 4 grogs. Then I went through Destruction's Depths, 2 more grogs

Sorry to burst your Bubble, but they are only 3 Points... People will buy them for 400 to 450...so your 500k is greatly inflated.

Farmed 2 stacks....giving them to guildies.. Got 8 Champ Points. Good Weekend.

when they started dropping on Thurs they were 5 pts. I used one on my pre char that had no drunkard pts, and insti drunk. 3 min on the drunkard title.

I can't say what they were giving on Sunday though. I just raptor farmed in my spare time and got an easy 200+. I'm drinking all mine though.

We need more PVP and PVE event every week, instead of taking turns, this was great.............. it will encourage more players to try both sides of the game IMO.

Yeah, I have to thank A-net for this one. I am not one to collect any type of alcohol for the drunkard title (despise titles), but they actually were rather unique. For most part, I collected wide variety of them throughout the weekend. So thanks for the weekend A-team.

They're considered only 3 minutes because that's the most a single one will ever contribute to your title.

Completely understood. Max drunk is lvl 5, or 5 ales. This will add 3 min to your counter as lvl 1 and 2 don't count to the drunkard title. Thus a lvl 5 drink will add 3 min to your title.

Since the Merch rate of Alchy is 200g for 1 ale, and 1 ale = 1 Drunk level, not min drunk. 150 per 1 drunk is an ok price to pay. If you had to get to lvl 5 drunk with Dwarven ale you are looking at 1 plat. 750 g for grog after it's not droppable is reasonable although lower prices are nicer. 400g for grog is well worth it.

All this and I never bother to check was Firewater goes for. doh

started friday new char level 1
and no cash...

farmed about 30 grog and a few dyes
sold for cash...

continued farming selling 16 grog per stack
of carvings..any dyes sold for cash

2xblack and 28 mixed other dyes no whites..
bought cheap grogs were i could in lower
districts 150-200g each trading on

them at 300g each to raise more cash

on and on and on...by sunday had
18 and a half stacks about 20
dyes left+ still had 21k left...

hard work but was fun and unexpected
best time ide had in ages...

I didn't even get one full stack, and I was playing quite a bit. Do you guys do anything else?

But yeah, it was a good weekend, it's the first thing in a very long time that actually made me feel like playing again. More original little weekends like this would be great, but it would be nice if they were a little more advertised. If I hadn't logged on to check for a birthday present, I would have totally missed it.

I made around 500-600k from Thursday night (start of drops) to Sunday night. Pretty good in my book, all my chars have elite armor now.
