This isn't a build to be ran seriously.

Recently I've been messing around with a D/Mo Prot hero based around Pious Renewal for energy management. Considering we had an Orders Dervish it had a bit of synergy and can prot aswell as heal.
[pious renewal][signet of pious light][reversal of fortune][shield of absorption][aegis][dismiss condition][remove hex][imbue health]
Now don't get me wrong, it is pretty terrible which is why I'm posting this. It's a pretty fun concept to me and something more defensive than ever before to do with your Dervish.
My hero seemed to manage energy quite well (Considering heroes are crap at energy management, Mysticism is quite effective in certain builds), which is a good sign in terms of energy management. I doubt a player would need it as much though.
I've also been thinking of using the Veils as an extra trigger for Pious Renewal instead of Dismiss and Remove.

What's the split you used? 12 Prots, 10+1+1 Mysticism, 8+1 Earth?
I'd probably run this for some lulz. Maybe run 8+1 Wind for Mystic Healing instead of the Signet?

I just prefer the signet out of higher spammability, but the attribute split is like that. Although I prefer losing one out of Prot and putting those attributes into Earth.
As I said though, it's just a pissabout build so do whatever you like!
Edit: I'd go with the Signet for a higher heal and the fact it's the person you want 100% of the time, but I could be missing something here.

What i find wrong or strange is that the build has many monk skills....so the question is: why using a dervish if a monk can do it better??
Once i ran similar build in RA and was funny...we won for over 7/8 times til i met a mesmer that blocked me with [backfire] and preassure skills...
Basicly the build is not that bad, but as i said above: you are using too much monk skills that a real monk can use with more effectiveness.
Never tried derv/para support?
EDIT: i saw ppl using avatar of melandru + [draw conditions] [imbue health] [vital boon]+[signet of pious light] [watchful intervention] and res....i know that AoM it's 25 energy but wasn't a bad idea in places where you get a ton of conditions....

As I said, it's a messaround build. If I wanted to argue it's superiority over Monks, I would have presented an argument as to why.
Oh, and this is mainly for PvE.

You can go secondary Ritualist and play the Sabway N/Rt healer as D/Rt. With high Mysticism (15) and an Order-Dervish to fuel your mana it can heal just as good as the N/Rt and does not depend on dying minions.

Would be interesting with [avatar of melandru] and [draw conditions]
