whats good choice for rit in HM?
reverse bass
i'm starting to use my rit more frequently then for farming and want to start hm with henches or friends
now i'm asking
what build would be great for it
due to some friend said the action in HM is fast so spirit spamming isn't a great option
i was thinking for running a splinter barrager but dunno if thats a good choice eather
anyone can give some help ?

Splinter barrager works. Spirit spamming isnt such a bad option if you have a team thats willing to wait for you to set up.
The problem is rits have very limited options left that are actually viable, well atleast imo.

the 3 key Rit skills are:
Splinter Weapon Weapon of Warding Protective Was Kaoli Beyond those 3, I'd pick:Ancestor's Rage or Channeled Strike Mend Body and Soul/Soothing Memories/Wielder's boon Life/Recuperation/Recovery (If using mend Body and Soul) PvE Skills Death Pact Signet/No res
The elite spot for ritualists is generally very flexible, meaning you can take your pick of Weapon of Remedy, Caretaker's Charge or Offering of Spirit, or take unlinked elites from other professions like Expel Hexes or Empathic Removal (Which both make up for the rits lack of hex removal).

Barrage+splinter or volley with spirit's strength+splinter is a nice way to do damage.
But if you don't mind playing a support role (which is the main rit role) a restoration/channeling hybrid like the one suggested by dust, or a Assassin Promise + Pve skills (generally Finish him+ Ebon Vanguard Support Assassin) build is powerful enough.
Xinrae's Weapon is a nice elite for hybrid rits and great dwarf weapon is a nice support weapon.

it really depends what kind of builds your teamates are running. if you have alot of frontliners, try and bring splinter weapon and GDW or something. it really depends on what your team looks like
but, you should always have: Splinter Weapon, Arage, probaly Protective was Kaolin, then some heals ( weapon of warding, mend body & soul, spirit light, Weilders boon, ect.) OoS is a GREAT elite skill for any hybrid build. if you go more healer than offensive, and your ok with energy, try bring Xinraes Weapon, or Weapon of Remedy. there both very good.

[build prof=Rit/A chan=12+1+2 deadly=11 resto=7][pain inverter][assassin's promise][essence strike][sprit burn][finish him][warmonger's weapon][flesh of my flesh][skill][/build]
The optional skill could be [resilient weapon], [better pure Was Ming li] in hex/condition heavy areas or [splinter weapon] or [you move like a dwarf]
But usually you dont have the time to cast splinter on a mellee because the pace is so fast with [pain inverter] and [assassins promise] and [finish him]
Essence strike and spirit burn require a spirit but with a N/RT healer you have at least one.
You could rely on an item (eg [Pure Was Ming Li] or other; [Protective Was Kaolai]) and replace [essence strike][sprit burn] with for example [renewing surge]
Alternatively the 600 Rit/Mo smite duo is very effective in HM and you can vanquish almost everything with it. You can find this on pvxwiki for a starting build and vary on this a bit depending on where you go. You can do this with 1 hero smiter

I really don't see why pain inverter should be picked over assassin support.

With assassin's promise you can spam Pain Inverter more often then a fast casting mesmer and donthave to wait for it to recharge

Assassin's Promise: For 5...13 seconds, if target foe dies, you gain 5...17 Energy and all your skills are recharged.
Usage of the build i posted:
Cast Pain inverter on a target, cast assassin's promise, cast essence strike or spirit burn or "YMLaD" and when target is below 50% health, cast "finish him". Target dies very fast within the 12 secs of AP and all your skills recharge.
Repeat on next target
Of course this works best with higher ranks in asura and norn
To be sure yuor target dies within 12 secs you may want to wait casting AP until your target is below 50%hp, but usually this isn't necessary

Sure Pain Inverter kills foes that deal aoe damage fast, although I still prefer to spread out and daze, interrupt knock those foes, instead of dying to kill them. Ebon Assassin works the same vs all foes.

I have never tried the Ebon Assassin Support but I can imagine that the assassin has some delay time before inflicting damage and is susceptible to blind, KD, block etc. whereas PI is not. Additionally the Assassin always attacks adjacent foes, even if its not a primary target.
I will give it a try though to compare.
One disadvantage for the AP/PI build is hex removal, but you could bring along a cover hex in those areas.

The skill the assassin use are not blockable. About blind and knock, I never had that problem, but I guess if he he is the first to hit the enemy that might happen.
