hey, im just wondering what there is to do after 20? i know it seems simple and obvious but i capped AGES ago and once i finished Night Fall and got the only armour i wanted in the game (primeval) i found there was no drive to do any of the other campaigns and the only other end game material (titles) was boring as death, i dropped the game at this point. so yeah, my subscription to WoW ran out so i figured id come back to see if there was much to do, so is it just do the campaigns or titles? if so i guess ill go do a bit on the campaigns, more fun than title grinding lol.

also i still notice arenanet hasnt implemented any kind of decent system for selling things, we still have to shout it out, thats ridiculous, i thought theyd have sorted that out so long ago. my god even crappy mmo's have a better trading system.

1. After level 20 is when you learn to play properly. You learn to use your skills. That is the whole point of the level cap.

2. Auction place - ArenaNet stated years ago that there would never be an Auction place. If you don't want to shout out in Trade chat or sell on forum, then sell your stuff to the merchant. No hassle there.

3. I'm confused about your dislike of grind. I was under the impression that the only way to advance in WoW was to grind away at levels. But each to his own, no one is forcing you to work on titles or even play the game. It sounds like you might be happier playing a different game.

And I apologize for sounding insensitive and condescending. Everyone is looking for different experiences in any game. Try joining a guild and make some friends. That should give you more to do that doesn't involve working on titles.

The advantage of not having an "Auction House" (Like Wow) is that prices can fluctuate from day to day, and not everybody has to have 1000k and at least 1000 hours of play behind them, 500 of those grinding in Level 70 instances (which by the way, you have to grind for those other 500 hours to get to!) for them to be able to afford to buy themselves a single piece of armour or weapon which has remained the same price for the past 6 months, not allowing any newbies to have a chance to get themselves some of the best gear in the game.

Not only that, the fact you have to do some research and listen out for other people trading the same item as you, or bartering with somebody you've never met before to get the best price for you, and the other person, is somewhat fun, and gives it a more realistic feel to the fact your "trading"!

You've got to think about the fundamentals of the game, its not that Anet cannot be bothered, it's what they think is best for the game. Maybe an "Auction House" will be introduced in GW2, who knows, but why fix something that's not broke?

And in terms of what to do next; PvP! You'll learn how to, as Darcy said, use your skills properly and play with others, beating your way to the Hall of Heroes (HoH), which in my opinion is one of the most fulfilling and exciting things to do in GW. And get yourself in a good, active Guild who like to GvG every so often, and even like to do some PvE runs to get the rarest items possible.

Then theres the other 3 expansions you have yet to explore. In my opinion, the possibilities are endless, Level 20 is just the beginning.

Use your imagination! I hope this helped!

Yeah if your not into titles or completing other campaigns or playing with guildies, then GW turns into a PvP game. Which can be ahrd if you don;t own all the campaigns depending on the role you play...

kk just to clear this up, i one hundred percent agree WoW is a grind fest, no question about that in my mind, and it is for that reason that i never capped in WoW, i played the one character from a month after release till the expansion and only got him to lvl 57 (cap is 60). from this uve probably guessed it but ill just say it, im a very casual player; i tend to find lvling and going for gear is what drives me to come back and play every couple of days, setting goals i guess (the high cap in WoW meant there was allways something to go for, so it lasted me much longer, still got bored of it though sure). doing the campaigns is still fun, but without a goal to back it up i get bored of them fairly quikly. and titles? well they are straight grinding with no real value to me, same as capping every elite skill. also a coupe people mentioned finishing a campaign and getting the elite armour, yeah ive done that on my main, thats part oft he problem lol. while i was doing that i had much more fun and drive because there was something i wanted, now i cant think of much, i do RA pvp just to mess around and gvg on occasion because im higher up in my guild, though we are pretty terrible at gvg lol.

so yeah i was just wondering if any1 could think of anything to go for, atm it looks like 1) finish the other campaigns and 2) do pvp.

The game really starts at level 20 (PvP/questing/farming/dungeon crawling/title whoring/pimping your characters)... and if you can't find anything you enjoy about the game, leave.
It's not like you're stuck here, you can always comeback later.

Yeah you are right Shru but that's why he's asking us this question, so he doesn't have to leave, because he wants to play it again!

Anyway Azeren, as I said in my previous post, one of the best thing is teamwork, if you can get yourself in a good group, make a few friends and go questing, skill hunting, things like that with them, for their benefit and yours, it really is great and you'll most probably thoroughly enjoy it, even more so if you talk on Vent/TS!

yeah im in a good and fun guild, and i use vent with the guys in it (well back when i was playing last time, just started again now) and yeah that was fun, though we spent most of our time fighting eachother in guild hall pvp (scimmage) coz my defensive derv set up pissed them all off (i could take them all coz i just didnt die lol, and had decent dmg out put with my speed buffs on). its fun playing with those guys but it just gets dull when they arnt on. ill try to get back into the vent scene in our guild and just organize runs through missions etc in the various campaigns, or more gvg matches, something along those lines.

P.S. i wasnt trying to bag on the game or anything, i was just at a loss of what to do now to have some fun.

Azaren, I got a Druid and a Mage to 70 in WoW, raided for a bit, then realized that daily quests, raiding so you could raid some more ... pointless. No more WoW.

GW I've played since release of Prophecies. These days I set my own goals, just have fun. Great thing about GW is the maps are reusable, hard mode.

Bottom line, though, is fun. Any game, if you cannot find a way to have fun on your own terms, then it is a waste of time.

Make a new character that is a profession you haven't tried yet. You say you have completed NF with your main, what about another profession?

"What to do after 20?"

I'm sitting here thinking.... THE GAME DOESN"T START UNTIL YOU REACH LEVEL 20!

Seriously, there is a boat load of things to do when you reach level 20. If you don't want to do any of those things, then your only other option is PvP. If you don't want to do PvP, then find a different game.
