Looking to buy a new laptop in the 900-1100 range

hi, as the title says im looking for a new laptop in the $900-1100 range. I'm from Canada and would probably like to buy one from a canadian place.
Less expensive would be prefered but i want a computer that would last me a while because it took long enough to convince my parents to buy me a new one. My current laptop is horrible and im unable to finish the EOTN campaign because i can't load half of the areas. I'm looking for a laptop to run GW smoothly is all.

any suggestions?

My basic recommendation is that you stay away from Intel integrated graphics. This eliminates a lot of laptops with Core 2 processors because they tend to be paired with Intel chipsets. Also, for best gaming performance, get one with discrete video memory if possible.

i'd go with the second one. the first laptop still have integrated graphics, and a rather bad one at that.

Wow that is a lot of money for a lap top today. We just got two computers, a tower and a laptop from Dell.
The laptop is an the basic laptop green with a couple of mods. It has the better video card and the midsized hard drive and the Killer 4Gig. It is green and cost a puny 650 bucks.

Yes it gets to CoF and other places that my tower will not even go to unless I change the video card in it cause of direct x10

I know its an english site but this is the laptop I have just bought, runs GW perfectly, pretty cheap (for a laptop) and I have only praise for acer support (I only asked them about buying one of their laptops, I haven't had any trouble with it).
