Ursan Blessing and Paragons

Hey, I've never used Ursan Blessing before. I just got it, along with my Norn rank up to 7 . I was wondering, what kind of build should i be using with my Ursan? Should I be doing Damage? Support? Both?

If you use a Ursan-Paragon, let me know. Send my the build, even if it sucks. I just want to have a few ideas.

P.S. - Since everyone keeps posting stuff like "Ursan sucks, use Imagon", im getting really pissed. Yes, i know it sucks. But im trying to get R10 Norn, and im doing NPF at Olafstead. Everyone there is to ignorant to realize Ursan sucks. Therefore, i need Ursan to get a group.

So thanks Gift3d for the only person who actually helped me so far. (I know Kain FZ tried, but i didn't get much from him. Also, nobody lets me bring heros...)

You're really better off using an Imbagon. Way more helpful to your party.

Second, Ursan got a pretty big nerf, so it's not used nearly as much anymore, and possibly not really worth it.

I think raven blessing is the best


But since you wanted a UB build, I'd recommend going P/Me and using [Arcane Mimicry] on a hero with [Assassin's Promise].

you are better off running imbagon in an norn farming group. there is no reason to use ursan anymore.

Ursan is the failings of guild wars, try finding a build that requires more talents than pressing 123.

Probably because the only people bothered to grind Norn in PUGs are those that think Ursan is still worth anything.

Ursan may be retarded, and crap but in the npf, its probably still the best option because it doesnt class discriminate, and it still gets the job done. Personally I'd rather do the HNPF.

At the OP, since ur allowed 3 pve skills, id pick the 2 most beneficial of them, imo save urselves, and tntf.

Then bring either a motivation support build with spear attacks, or a spear focused build. Monks would love the SY support, and the heals/energy from other moti shouts.

The other thing you might consider is that u save an ursan build, and when they ask for it send that, then run imbagon. They'll only notice once they are underway and doing better then they thought... (on a side note, does the ursan blessing 100 set armor overule the +100 from SY)?

Hope this post helped, not trying to say ursan is crap etc, run imbagon. Trying to suggest builds that will work, as well as ways to get around having to use ursan.

Honestly, You can easily farm outside olafstead without a PUG and without Ursan blessing...

I maxed out my norn when ursan was the only build in guild wars.
But my roommate needed to rank up in Norn recently and we just took 6 heroes and used Discordway. Everything died soo fast. Even the ettins die before they can cause any trouble. (But that is mainly because i had Pain inverter on them when they do Giants Stomp. Pain inverter + Giants stomp = instant death)

WHat ANet should have done when they nerfed Ursan was remove it as an Elite skill and just make it a plain ol normal skill

you should definitly stick to SY and TNTF feeding a team of 6 necros. Im sure they would appreciate the armor boost.

Even if you do PUG just ping an ursan build and run an echo/refrain build. I guarantee that your ursan buddies wont complain when your shouts are making things a lot easier.

He isnt asking if Ursan is really as bad as people think compared to the imbagon, hes asking for an ursan build REGARDLESS of the fact its not as good as the imbagon.

His goal is to get to rank 10 norn. Period.
I offered great solutions for him to reach his goal. Simple.

His post wasnt asking that, it was the reason he gave for wanting an ursan build. But watever.

bring arcane mimic and a hero with either Oath Shot or Assassin's Promise, which is the only real way for Ursan Blessing to be useful anymore.

and people, not everyone wants to run cookie cutter builds. some of us are so bored with the game that we need something different, which is why I run offensive paragon builds, and anything -but- cookie cutter builds.

First of all....i consider ursan skill as a prize for people buying Eye of the North expansion (ursan wasn't just a skill...ursan became a mode of playing GW....and a mode to complete missions alone..at 3 o'clock in the morning). The art of creating and using builds in GW have nothing to do with the fact that this skill existed or not. I played many hours to obtain that skill...and other many hours after to get norn rank 10... What they did...they nerfed this skill...after introducing it in the version i bought seems to me like a theft...a theft of my time...I am 31 years old...i payed for this game...for everything inside...mom and dad didnt't bought it for me.....I wonder what if they'll let someday only one proffession and 8 skills........lol..wtf...(maybe if i'll post a lot..and my friends too)...I used builds different from ursan also....and was fun...it's about everybody choice...if you didn't liked ursan...go get guys from your guild and play missions without using that skill...but i think here it's about voting...Personally i will not buy gw2...sry guys...i don't want to pay for something and got something different in few month..completely changed...they lost a fan...That's it...i'm sry about the time lost completing all the campaigns...i'm back to DOTA.....I don't understand the meaning of FREE for playing GW....play a game they change in whatever they want ?....then my money?!!!..what i payed for?..good luck and..have fun...lol..wtf...and now unistall...and i bought 4 dvds..omg..bye GW

Use a refrain and use Ursan Roar. That's all I can think of :P GL on R10
