Green Bows And Hall of Monument Questions

Where do I find them and are they better than normal bows? o_o I just started playing a ranger on EOTN. :P Could you put them up on the hall of monuments?

Oh, and how many tapestries could you have on the Hall of Monuments? o_o

If you complete the primary quests in GW:EN, you'll get all 4 tapestraies.

Green bows can not be added to the HoM. Only destroyer (and soon, tormented) weapons can be added there.

Green bows have max stats, just like a normal item that is perfectly modded. The difference is, greens can not be dyed or have their stats changed.
Green items have a small chance of dropping from any bosses in GW:EN, Nightfall, or Factions. Ranger bosses drop bows, ele bosses drops ele stuff, etc. They don't drop them all the time and its very random.

So should I buy an Elswyth's Recurve Bow for 5k? Is it good?

Elswyth's is worth about 1k now. Don't get ripped off, most greens aren't worth very much at all.

elswyth has a fair skin, bow of the hierophant has one of the best skins which is a silverwing recurve bow, but even the green is worth about 70-90k and the gold bows req 9 go for 100k+xx

And I'm getting ripped off, Tai? What do you recommend for a nice looking bow that is also good? :P I like storm bows but don't know where to get them... Who sells the bow of the heirophant and how much is it?

Players who like to farm have special solo (go out alone) builds so if the boss drops its green weapon they will get it. This has led to an oversupply of most green weapons.

You can find a list on the wiki http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Unique_item that will tell you who drops what.

You can check the Ventari's forum here (Sell subforum) for prices players are asking. The older price list threads tend to be very outdated.

But equipping your characters and your heroes can be done very inexpensively with greens.

Give either or both of those links a look. They give you the name, a picture, and where to acquire each kind of bow in the game. Find one YOU think looks cool, as it is an opinion question many people differ on. If you know where they drop, you can either look into acquiring one on your own, or you will know you can't get to that location.

If you find one you want, and want to buy it, you will know what to look for in the Auction site here or the Buy/Sell forums here. For pricing on them, use the Price Check forum.

He's only talking about the Silverwing Recurve bow - it's rare and expensive.

Getting "ripped off" is a relative thing. Elswyth's Recurve used to sell for about 5k, but now the price of most greens has gone way down, so you could find Elswyth's for less. But that doesn't mean the guy was trying to "rip you off" - he may be unaware that the price is generally less, or he may be trying to actually get closer to what the bow is worth. Remember - it's only play-money.
