Does anyone know or from their own Exp where the best Area in Pre is for Dye Drops of Black/White?

Ive been told that just the Northlands Char is the best but then again ive been told other places at well.

Does anyone know for sure or can confirm with their own exp's where exactly is the best spot?

I'm pretty sure that dye rates aren't effected by color.

Example: Area A and Area B may both have a 5% chance of having a dye dropped after an opponent dies. But Area A will NOT have a higher chance of dropping a Black Dye opposed to Area B.

I'm not 100% sure on this though. For further research, you may want to go here. They may have more helpful threads, considering they are a site dedicated to presearing.

Hope you find what your looking for.

P.S. If you find a spot that drops lots of whites/blacks, hook me up!!! >_<

There is no area in pre- or post- searing that has been proven to have a higher than normal drop rate for dyes of any colour.

You increase your chance of a dye drop just by increasing the rate at which you kill enemies. My highest rate of success for dyes is when soloing all the low level mobs in Old Ascalon with a lvl 20 warrior - they can be killed very, very fast.

you calc the odds of a dye drop, then you calc the odds of that dye being blck or white. no type of monster EVER has more of a drop rate for certain colors. ive been playing this game almost everyday for 2 yrs and ive gotten 1 black dye, on the other hand ive gotten almost 10 whites. its quite random...

It is believed that since there are fewer items that can drop in Pre-searing, that dye has a higher chance to drop there. In other words, if 10 items total can be dropped by a monster in Pre, you have a 10% chance of it being a dye. If 100 items can drop from a monster in Post, you have a 1% chance of it being a dye.

Color does not have an different chance to drop based on what or where you do your killing.

Fastest and most plentiful killing field I found in Pre (was a long time ago though) was the Undead in the Catacombs. Smiting does wonders, so take a Mo/x or an x/Mo.

I always felt like the fire bandits or whatever they are dropped more black dye than anywhere else, but I have not farmed there in a long time so I can't remember very well.
