without getting into a historical accuracy argument, would it still be possible to suggest a weapon type for the game? I would like to see a "tanto" or "wakizashi" style blade/dagger for a assassin. I think its probably too late to be making suggestions for the game at this point, though.

Tanto would definitely be better for the assassin's style. Wakizashi is more of a sword than a dagger.

-points to the assassin armor- Are those not tanto daggers? Look like it to me.

Wish we could use all those blades.

You are right, there are actually three tanto/wakizashi blades on the back of Anton's armor. Why can't he/we use them??

But yeah really that would look cooler but aint happening to much confusion in PvP, same with MOX.
