Question! sort of important.

So here's the deal i recently bought guild wars with my lil bro. can i install one copy in separate computers? also, if we want to play with diferent accounts. is that possible? if someone understands these questions PLEASE help me

Well as long as its not the same Key Number

If you have a seperate Key number for any campaign then you can .........otherwise afraid sorry you cannot use the same key for different accounts as the key is the important thing here

You do not need to repurchase the game box w/cd although at this point it is probably cheaper to buy it retail in a local game store.

You should make sure that you buy the same edition of the game. You and your brother will only be able to meet ingame if you can access the same campaigns.

you can lend it to them if you want, but you won't be able to play with them at the same time unless they have a seperate account. in order to play with someone else, they have to have their own account. meaning they have to have their own cd-key. anyone can use your copy of the game to download the software but will not be able to play the game unless they have their own account.

As has already been said here, you now own one account that has 4 character slots. You can access those characters on any computer in the world (just install the program), but only 1 person can use the account at any given time.

Umm... this is the same with every other online game I can think of? One account = one person online. If you both want to be online at the same time, you have to buy another account. You can lend your game to other people, but you only have one account (the one you made with a CD-key). You can only make one account with a CD-key, so your friends etc would have to buy their own account or make use of your account, which you probably don't want (wouldn't recommend it ). It's like me playing counter-strike with 3 brothers at the same time. We have 4 copies of CS.

Anyone that knows soemthing about MMO's knows that its not liek a normal computer game, you have an account which is from the acess key

other ppl can use your account, for example, i let my brother try GW just gave him my account login and password, but dont do that to just anyone, if ou hand that info out to ppl they can hack and even possibly steal your account and you are left with nothing.

Install GW on all the PCs you want but only 1 person can use an account at a time, once GW is installed on another PC all you need to play your toon is your login info. wrning: loading all the files takes a while.

Basically install, GW whereever you want but keep your login info to your self, that is what gives you access to your account

Well sonny, think of it this way - if you and your buddies wanted to go see <insert fav group/band/singer> you would EACH have to pay <insert more than $22> - you couldn't buy just one ticket and you all get in.
And, no, it doesn't suck - it's just people trying to earn a living (which you obviously don't do yet )

But, as has been said, you can share your account with your little brother - account sharing is against the EULA, but.... - but keep in mind that he will have access to everything on the account, so if you piss him of you may find some things a bit messed up next time you log on. And only one of you can be logged on at the same time.

Look at it this way when I bought the first game it was over 40 dollars for one account. If you can get 2 accounts for 44 bucks its a deal.

Most games, hell most software manufacturers, want you to own a copy per person. MMO creators just have better infrastructure to police that. Thankfully once you have your account you can run GW (and most MMOs) on any PC with the software installed, unlike some games (Spore and its DRM requirements comes to mind)

Actually, they've only sold a total of 5 disks. Everyone just sort of passed 'em around.

Thats how the world works. Get used to it.

ive paid over 200 for just one account and i dont even work yet so in comparison your getting a very good deal.
