Hey. I was trying to come up with a usage of Locust's Fury and I ended up with a quite good SY spamming build. What do you think of it? And how do you think it can be improved?

the main issue with locust's fury is that the double strike is only applied to regular attacks.
you dont double hit while using lead/offhand etc etc
only during dual attacks do you double strike(it does it by default every time anyways)

Well there is no advantage off taking locust's fury over moebius in your build, since locust's fury does not apply on attack skills.

went out of my way to go get it and come to find our it doesnt apply to attack skills:P

I found this skill entertaining to keep shiro busy while some guildies ran the GoM masters in hm. Used some golden fox/wild strike, blinding powder, crit agility/def,way of perf, vigorous spirit, and LF. He never even got my health below 75%.
Felt good to find some practical use for it, but outside of that...meh. MS/DB spam is plenty efficient for SY.

If you change the attack skills to high recharge skills that does better damage (such as Twisted Fangs) then there is a use for Locust's Fury. But with spamming attack skills like those, no point.
@ Damian: You can solo shiro with a build very similar to that. I use:
Golden Fox Strike (Unsuspecting strike works too for when he is above 90% health)

This is to spam SY with a rapid attack rate. Not to blossom spam.
A vamp weapon works really well with this build. Brawling headbut, "Asura Scan" and various other things are also very useful.

You make a really good point.. I guess we could take away dagger skills and boost dps through other means? I already know this build is extraordinary in conjunction with an orders derv.

The problem with this is if you are using the benefit of Locust's, you aren't using attack skills which means you aren't dishing out damage. By using a DB spam with FGJ you are both gaining massive adrenaline through rapid aoe and killing things very quickly which means you need less SY for your team anyway.
I understand the concept of using a fast auto attack rate to quickly recharge SY. It's the same thing a para does with agressive refrain and focused anger only a para does it by standing far away from enemies with a high AL and you are doing it by standing in a mob of enemies with a low AL.

oen possiblity would be to use this in conjunction with a assassin/rit build using weapon spells(basicly increase your regular attack dmg to be as high as if you were using skill attacks)
sorry i cant seem to load up wiki and get some skill desprips atm
and yeah i know you wouldnt have your warrior skills then,but its still a decent concept for a locust build

If you really want Locust's fury do deal heavy damage on its own combine it with Crit Agility & a Conjure.
However that prevents you from using SY! so conversly I'd recommend taking locust & crit agility and having a curses necro with you(prefreably something with MoP & AP)
lets you take full advantage of the hyperactive attack rate for both high damage and SY! spamming

Someone said it, but ill repeat it. A spammable combo on the same bar as locusts fury is redundant. If ur not spamming the combo, then its pointless. If ur spamming a combo locusts is pointless. One or the other works better.
Theres a good assassin SY spammer on Racthoths me and my paragon buddies thread in the Heroes and AI section of campfire. Notice it uses moebius. Locusts is highly reduntant for SY spamming.
