So I've got a ton of free time and have always wanted to play Guild Wars, so I'm gonna make the leap. Unfortunately, however, I have a Macbook. Now before anyone yells at me for this, I need to have a Mac because I'm a graphic designer and that's what I learn on.
Regardless, I'm looking at buying a copy of windows to dual boot on this so I can play. Just a few questions beforehand:
1) I want to get xp. Any recommendations on which one I should get? From where? I'm in college so money is pretty slim so cheaper is better. As long as it runs games.
2) Will my macbook run Guild Wars? It's a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 gigs of ram, but unfortunately an integrated graphics card. Wondering if anyone has any experience with GW on a macbook.
Thanks for the help!

it will run on integrated graphics, but the performance is pretty poor for the most part. you can turn down the graphic settings to improve that though.
as for version of XP, you'll want windows XP profession 32bit. if you are in university, you might have access to MSDN (microsoft developer's network), and you can pick up a free copy of XP through it.

I've researched on my schools website and I'm pretty sure we aren't part of that unfortunately. I left ITS a message just to double check.
If it turns out that I have to buy it, what's the difference between OEM and the regular version? OEM is cheaper.

you're looking at a $100 purchase at the very least. windows operating systems aren't cheap unfortunately.
