Change to log-in screen

Not sure if this is the place for this question, but here goes:

Why not make a change to the character select screen (the one that comes after you log-in) to allow you to enter a location to start out. Currently, for example, if you were in Kamadan when you last logged out you would be in Kamadan when you log back in. What I am proposing is a drop-down menu or menus where u can select where u want to start. The drop-down could work just like the one that u get when u map travel to different districts in your desired location once ur in-game, but it would be on the character select screen. Assuming you have the area mapped and have been there before, then it would be available on these menus.

This would be especially useful if you play on multiple computers and you wouldn't have to wait to load a location that u haven't seen on whatever other computer ur using...

Hope this makes sense.

Doesn't sound useful enough to call for change.

In the past when I was playing with 512MB of RAM, slow hard disk and computer, maybe. But today with 2GB of RAM and a fast computer I don't really care about unnecessary loadings.

/Not signed. Guild Wars loads just fine now, adding this will not save time for the player and will require more programing than it is worth. Just my two cents.
Now if it automaticly start your charector in your guild hall, that might be usefull.

Back in the days of Prophecies and the horrible server lag, I would have agreed. But the system is much smoother now so I doubt it would make much difference.

Id rather have the ability to change the map ur on, rather then having to port to LA/Kaineng/Kamadan in order to change.

A tidy button to map all your characters to your Guild Hall would be lovely but I don't see the value of the Post-character select mapping. Guild Wars runs on a lot of older PCs, this update would only help those with the oldest PCs, which is a rather small minority...

Don't think this would make a huge difference.

This really does not change much; It is very doable to just map to a new location after logging a char. I vote to let the devvers work on more important changes (Like the HoM update) and of course GW2.
