I saw Bill Brasky enter the ring as a Lvl 1 Ascended Pre-Searing Warrior with no Armor on while Free Sheets to the Wind on Dwarven Ale that he had squeezed from the Kidney of a Stone Summit Axe-Wielder. He had no teammates and no weapons, so he pulled off his own leg and beat the opposing monk to death with it, while simultaneously spitting in the Eyes of the opposing warrior, blinding him, who then proceeded to trip over the Mesmer knocking both to the ground and crushing the wittle purple guy. The Elementalist, shocked by the Fury of Bill Braskys' Ire, spontaneously combusted; all the while screaming for Bill to impregnate her. By this time, the warrior, who was brushing the Mesmer guts off him, tried to run, but Bill plucked out the eyes of the dead monk and hurled them through the back of the guy's fissure helm, knocking him stone cold.
It was all over in 6.3 seconds....

Hardest part of gaining infamy (or fame) is that caused by instanced playing. In WoW, you're seeing other players all the time even when you're out adventuring. Ignoring the popularity of the solo-farming builds, that means the chances of Avg Joe interacting with a soon to be famour person are fairly slim.
You gain more notice in Guildwars for forum posting then you do for playing. Thank god observer mode and the championships will help change that a little.

also a former sB.
C V T former marvel superhero member, i cant stand this guy, but im sure some of us more active high rank pvpers know this guy. he was the proffesional spirit spammer.
Zao Yun.... perhaps one of the best pvp'ers guildwars has seen. he got his rank 9 during the spirit spamming days without joining or forming a spirit spam team. this guy tombed with 2 war/rangers (axe) , 2 emo smiters , 1 tainted/putrid necro and the usual 2 healers and 1 prot. that was his fancy.

yo, power and pRp and monkey are going to get nerfed in a week or so. once ranger spike is gone, they are incapable of running anything else. they are kind of well known for being disliked. not because theyre bad people or anything, but because they run a build which takes little to no skill and run nothing but that constantly (kind of like iway, huh?).

LBS gets flamed a lot depending where she goes. Not all of the people can be from Guru, so she isn't only (in)famous from here. I was in ToA the other day and she was there. People were following her around saying some quite nasty things to her... she and I had a little chat about it- seems as though that happens a lot.

If it takes little skill why is it not many people are running it as effectively as they do? EP have faced people using pRp's build before and they flawlessed them. Yet with pRp they had the an incredible hard time. In fact they switched from their well known signature build to War Machine's build.
EP has been running the same build for months now.
WM runs and slight deviation of their signature build for months.
Some can argue that they have their style and others change with the metagame.

Why flame someone offering a service?
If you don't agree with her/his prices, don't take the service. LBS prices may be on the upper side of the runner market, because they are high quality (or so they say, never used runner services).

Just watched TE beat another good guild (ranked 16, the name of that guild is hard to remember) in the tourney. Peeps like Kuntz and Lulu and the rest of them really deserve their repuation as top PvP players, even if it was Xizzy really being responsible for all that...

Famous all over the game? Not many. I'd say God Antipowers comes close though as most people encounter him in Pre-searing. Famous to PvE forrumers though? I'd say theres a handful. Most of the regular posters on the forums are well known to even lurkers. Especially during the winter/halloween events/gailetalks. My guildies and I notice familiar names and always greet fellow forumers. I even have a guildmate who likes to make it a regular habit to poke Sai in the head whenever he sees him
