If you have a wepon that says that it hits 20% more damage does that mean it hits +20 or 20% and how much would 20% be? thank you

20% of your weapon's base damage. so if you had a sword that does 15-22, you will do 18-25. and its never +20 damage, there are no +damage mods as far as im aware.

It would be 20% more damage than the base damage of the weapon. The base damage varies over a range - for example a bows base damage ranges from 15-28 - and is affected by many other factors, so how much 20% would be varies too.

But, as an example, if your weapon was to hit for 10 damage, it would hit for 12 damage with a 20% mod.

Note that the 20% damage is conditional on other factors (as stated on the weapon's description), such as only vs undead, or while your health is below 50%.

He could also get a +20% damage bonus from having the weapon customized.

If this is the case, make sure you don't want to sell the weapon later on, as no one but the character you customize it to (or their Heroes, thank the gods) can use it.

20% is not always conditional: customized weapons.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but any PvP-only character you create can use a weapon customized to any of your account's PvE characters.

There is one... the Ogre-Slaying Knife has +9 Damage vs. Ogres. But then again, it's 1-4 base damage (for info, see this and this (in that order)).

Yes it is - in that case, it's on the condition that the weapon is customized.

so a max damage Gold Sword of Chry at 15-22 with strength and honour 15% and vrs (insert baddie name here) of slaying 20% and customized 20% will give you a sword that does...

22-34 damage. This is assuming that the armor rating of the baddie is 60. Higher lvl baddies have higher armor rating.

If the baddie is like my war and has 100 armor your sword will hit for HALF DAMAGE. 11-17 dmg. If you use SUNDERING 20/20 you can bring a high lvl baddie to its knees with a sundering critical strike quite nicely.

Just something to think about
