Guild's should be able to hold big events in their halls. It would be cool if the Guild Leader could make in guild events such as birthday parties for guildies, guild anniversary, special in guild tournaments, or even just parties just to have fun.
This would be freakin tight wouldn't it?!

so do it, get a big alliance and try to organize it, i'm not sure max amount of ppl you can have in 1 hall, i'd assume 100, but thats about as much as a district can hold, just relies on a person organizing it and if ppl actually come

Already around. It's just player organized.
Some people even make community based events, like the two past Mursaat Rallys.
We need a Tengu Rally...Tengu Rites in GW2! Make them playable!

Make a suggestion for something that doesn't already exist. I have participated in several 'parties' in several different guilds. First one was back before Factions was even talked about by Anet.
If there is something specific you want a 'party' to have that is currently unavailable, then you need to explani what that is. Right now, you have suggested Anet add something that is already in the game.

I ran a few birthday parties for my old alliance's core members, it wasn't particularly hard or expensive (We farmed the gifts). This is more of an issue you need to raise with your guild rather then ANet.

This. Guild halls are there specifically for the purpose of giving guilds a place to meet, form parties (for GvG, etc.), and hang out. A-net even threw in crates of Fireworks (only usable in guild halls) to help enhance the atmosphere of guild parties (birthday, etc)!

I think most Guilds hold their own parties now.

Were have you been? Under a stone?
There are even Tournaments organized by players that are fully supported by Anet.
