halloween farming locations
kane zarthrox
hey, mods sorry if there is another post like this, but i looked through them and there is no thread specifying the best places to farm halloween items (aka singed gargoyle skulls, charr carvings, etc) and i wanted to start a post listing the best farms till halloween. don't post "i use a monk at GoK and it roxz man i pwnz them all" or some stupid thing like that, please neatly list your skills, attributes, and the area in which to farm at, the amount of time, and an estimate of drops/hr, thanks for all the help to whoever contributes!

That about sums it up.

Why not post build questions in the other thread? You can practically auto-attack everthing in Ascalon to death, anyway. More to the point:

1. Asking "What is the best farming build?"
Reason: There is no "best" as "best" differs from person to person as it is an opinion.
2. Asking "What are some good farming spots for (insert profession here)?"
Reason: Most likely you haven't looked around well enough (look past page one and two and search). We also don't want numerous posts for each profession asking for "good" farming spots as that would just clutter the whole section.
3. Posting generic questions.
Reason: This is where someone makes a thread with little more than 'I need a build for this', without making any attempt to help themselves by searching or posting any information about themselves like profession/s or campaigns.
4. Asking for a popular build/spot when it can be found on the first or second page.
Reason: Self explanatory. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10246669

Build Barrage + anything
Location
Anywhere outside Kamadan or the Charr areas in Ascalon
Kill everything
Drop rates I never count but if I clear the flame temple area in prophesies I usually get 20+ charr carvings and that takes probably 30 minutes less now I added ebon vanguard assassin support.

well since no one wants to contribute and enjoy flaming so much, except for one person, mods please close the thread, obviously people who can't think clearly that don't understand how people can be new, and can't put together their own builds, people who don't understand that the other thread has NOTHING to do with builds for farming trust me i check often, only like 1 guy has a build on there, and yet there is like 3 pages of "yeah man i farm grawls all $%#@ day with my hammer warrior" (my point is, where are these grawls you farm all day, what is your hammer build so new people can try it and so on) but clearly, you people can't see the point of this thread, it was supposed to be BUILDS only for halloween item farming, a big fat list so people who can't access all parts of the game know what they can and cannot do. /rant over

Grawls are in Eastern Frontier; start at Ruins of Surmia, and wind around to Frontier Gate, but /resign after you kill them all rather than walking to the portal to Frontier Gate. Here's a hammer build I've just made up, or copied rather, from the warrior forum here. I haven't actually tried it there:
[Earth Shaker]
[Crude Swing]
[Whirlwind Attack]
[Enraging Charge]
[Flail]
[For Great Justice]
optional
optional
Heck, flail probaby won't matter; everything would just explode in the first hit. Rush, maybe? Probably want a Conjure or +damage of some kind, and Lion's Comfort if you want a heal.
Really, just ask questions in the other thread; it's better than starting a new one. It helps to clarify that you are new.
You might be able to pull off the above build against Charr(Nolani Academy gate, Flame Temple Corridor); I've run the old Cyclone Axe W/Mo build against them easily, so that hammer bar may work, too.
Gargoyles are found outside Nolani Academy.
I hope this information is helpful, but all of it can easily be found with very little effort by browsing the wiki for locations(start here, and backtrack the collector drops to find where the monsters you want to kill hang out), and searching here and pvxwiki for builds.
