Is anyone else get like constant freezing on gwars - every 10 seconds to a minute or so? I've asked my friend and he said he has been too. Its not my internet connection because I can be doing anything else and it will work fine - its just gwars.

Anyone have any idea whats up?

My guildie and I both got hit with a lag spike (50k ping) at the exact same time. =\

And yes, I keep experiencing sudden slow-downs and freezes and a lot of rubberbanding.

I'm guessing it is becasuse of the whole weekend event putting stress on the Anet servers.. But thats just a guess.

It is in Guildwars' interest to disgruntle you. They no longer care about selling more titles at this point... the game has made its profits and sales now are seriously lagging.
Now to ensure profit they need to reduce upkeep cost..ie servers...updates...ect. The best way to do this is to NOT maintain infrastructure and people will leave, resulting in less demand to upgrade/maintain adequately the game...
We have already paid... there are no requirements for them to fulfill. Pay me 50$ and I'll feed you.... one smaaaaaall bowl of slop. But your hungry...and so you will take it

People sit around around saying it is lag and crap 'cause of the bonus weekend..lol... ru retarded.... fewer people are online for these bonus weekends today than regular play back in the days when GW actually cared for their customer base and took pride in its product... bottomline.... THEY JUST DONT GIVE A SH*T anymore

Geez, take a chill pill Anger. You're probably right that they are reducing resources to cut costs, but that's only logical.
Unless you just started playing today, you didn't get just one small bowl of soup for $50, you got a whole feast. But, yes, it's not really an all-you-can-eat forever. They do need to have money coming in to stay in business.
The lag may not even be their fault - I've been playing some TFC (a Half-Life FPS/CTF mod) lately and it's been laggy too. The entire internet seems to be laggy lately - too many teeny-boppers watching porn.
