Slow installation

I got a new PC and gonna install GW on it, now running Prophercies install and it's loadin some 5,000 files. Gonna take some,, 1 hour? How to fasten up the loading cuz I got Factions and Nightfall, too. It's gonna take hours, hours with this speed. And when I start the game it loads some 1,500 graphic files, that is VERY slow.

Not a way that i know of. I just got a new PC a month ago. I had to d this. the first game is the slowest though..the other 2 will be a little faster

You don't need to reinstall each game just the client from the the official site and use the -image to download everything in start/run.Here get it from here download the game all you need to do is just enter your name of account and PW.Download it then run it.

Search this forum for "-image" you will find all that you need to know there.

You should have run the install from the Nightfall disk. That is the most recent chapter and, as such, has the most up-to-date gw.dat file necessitating the download of the fewest files.

You only need to install the game once. There is no need to "install" Factions or Nightfall, you simply add the keys to your existing account.

GW is constantly being updated and bug fixed, so there is always a lot of stuff to update after you install (even if you had started by installing Nightfall first.) You can simply let the game update as you go. After the initial install, you may find some delays happen each time you enter a new area and new stuff is downloaded, but depending upon the speed of your connection, and whether or not any (impatient) people are waiting on you, it's not that bad.
Or you can also do the "-image" thing. That will download the latest everything in one shot. It's a long process that you would run overnight or while at work/school. Search these forums for more info on "-image".
