Mad King thorn? Where did he come from?

Just curious does anyone have any ideas of any story behind Mad king thorn? or can possibley link to a story behind this character? I am rather curious to how he came about besides the basic fact "anet came up with him" Thanks much get back to me You can contact me in-game if nessary I really enjoy the halloween festival the most.

Seriously tho, he was an old king of Lion's Arch apparently since he calls them "his people", revived from the dead every Halloween.

To make this more jolly, I'm going to do a favorite joke of mine:
"How are a Paragon and a drunkard alike?"

Yes, that is the thread. This thread -which I was about to link- has all the current information we have on Mad King Thorn. If you want to know about the background of things in the game, look in Druid's Overlook (also known as the Lore Forum).

Hopefully, ANet will put in the Teller of Tales NPC that was suppose to go in Halloween 06 and 07, and hopefully he will have more background on Thorn.

heh good, jokes. both the wiki link and the guru link provide a good bit of info on mad king throng. hes an eccentric guy thats fun to be around.
