they usually dont change collectors so whatever it was the last few years it will more than 90% chance be again this year...wiki has them all listed if you want to check out what you need to keep hold of.....

Are Charr Carvings easy to obtain compared to other drops, keeping the halloween collectors in mind?

Charr Carvings are easy to get. Soloing the Ft. Ranick Mission, including battling the big mobs instead of catapulting them, will normally get you 25-30 carvings per run.
Caromi Scalps are also pretty easy to farm. Check the Halloween entries on wiki for the rest of the items and judge for yourself how farmable they are.

As well as ease of farming the item and drop rates you need to factor in how many are needed by the collector, 1 2 or 3.
I find farming charr the easiest because the drop rate is pretty good and because I have a bow + vs Charr.
clear the charr around Piken or mayne nolani then head down the flame corridor to the temple.
Using Ebon Vanguard assassin support speeds up the run quite a bit.
I do spread out my festival farming through the entire year as its far less boring that way, I will probably be caught out one year when they change collector requirements.

They usually put up an announcment page ether the week before, or a couple of days before it begins. So its ether next week or the week after.
Regina has already said it will more or less be the same as last years so i doubt any new collectors will appear. The only things that could change are the Costume Brawl characters and the long overdue arrival of the Teller of Tales.

i am curious of one thing.. since hollowen takes place in Tyria and Elona, could we perhaps hope that Northen Shiverpeaks will now be included?
it would be nice for eye of the north to also have an event

It would be pretty nice to be able to use my Saurian Bones for Halloween items. In either event, every monster will still probably drop trick-or-treat bags so it's raptor hunting season in two weeks >

if i start farming fort ranick now for about 2 hours a day how many do you guys think i can get?

If the drop rate in Fort Ranik is similar to the run from Grendich courthouse to the flame corridor and temple area you should be getting about 1 a minute.
I base that on time of 18 to 20 minutes per run and a similar number of Charr carvings at the end.
Repeat runs tend to get reduced numbers maybe 12 to 14 carvings.

31st of the month is a Friday. I wouldn't be surprised to see them have it for the week before or after the weekend, but it'll probably be all week or something.
