Quick Paragon hero question
Rick Thene
I'm undecided as to what elite I should give my Command Para hero. I'm looking for something defensive, so my 2 main choices right now are "Incoming!" and Angelic Bond.
I am an Assassin, running "SY!" (of course), but seeing as that is the only real damage reduction coming from me and my heroes, I felt something more was needed.
"Incoming!" seems nice, but is let down by it's long recharge.
Angelic Bond will reduce my damage to easily manageable amounts, but I am nervous that the hero will spam it too much and be left with no energy or health.
Input is appreciated!

You running a heavy physical team?
If not - and you aren't chaining Aegis - I suggest Defensive Anthem. That always worked nicely when I wasn't running 2+ Aegises.

Defensively, I kinda think [Song of Restoration] or [Song of Purification] are nice. But I've also run DA paras before too and they're useful in a caster team.
I have to say I've not tried the two elites you've suggested with a para hero yet.

For a Command hero Defensive Anthem is definitely well worth considering. "Incoming!" wont be used well by heroes, and Crippling Anthem and Anthem of Guidance both aren't terribly useful for PvE.

I'm going to have to disagree with Celestial-I've ran Incoming on Hayda since they buffed it for PvE, and she's ran it great. Angelic Bond on the other hand is NOT a good skill for a hero-they'll end up "bonding" the whole team and since it doesn't reduce damage...well...you get the idea.
What I like about Incoming is that it throws up a nice defensive net giving you time to do several things-like getting adrenaline flowing for SY, giving the monk time to apply prots etc. Plus later on in the fight it gives the healers a bit of time to recover some spent energy etc.

Defensive Anthem if you dont have 2+ coppies of Aegis.
Incoming if you're an Aegis addict.

Thanks a bunch everyone!
Yes, it looks as if I've overlooked Defensive Anthem. Definitely worth trying out. About the motivation skills, I already have enough condition removal which makes SoP pretty redundant, and my Rit and Orders Derv provide enough blanket healing, hence why I'm looking more at protection.
I still wish they would reduce the recharge for "Incoming!" for PvE only. Ah well.

IMO if you are alrdy running SY! spam then that should be all the dmg reduction you need. 82.5% dmg reduction isnt enuff? i'd recommend running an offensive commandgon with an elite like Anthem of Fury if using with alot of other physicals or Cruel Spear.

No, it's not, 'cause it's not constant.
